The National Orchestra of the School of Music of Northwest Normal University was established in October 2009, and was then known as the Dunhuang Dance Orchestra of the School of Music of Northwest Normal University. In 2011, it was renamed the National Orchestra of the Conservatory of Music of Northwest Normal University. Since its establishment, it has been active on the performance stage inside and outside the school. After continuous development and adjustment in recent years, it has gradually become a well-established and increasingly perfect national orchestra. Its members are mainly young teachers, graduate students and outstanding undergraduate students from our school.

Special performances that he has performed include: 2012 Northwest Normal University Centenary Celebration Conservatory of Music performance; 2013 Northwest Normal University National Orchestra New Year Concert; the Ministry of Education’s High Art Entering Campus Series at the Northwest Normal University Conservatory of Music The Chinese National Orchestra performed a special concert at Lanzhou University of Technology, a special concert at Lanzhou Institute of Technology, a special concert at Jingning Weirong Middle School and Primary School, and a special concert at Gansu Animal Husbandry Engineering College.

The 2014 Northwest Normal University "Youth Sings the National Soul" National Orchestra New Year Concert; in September 2014, the "Northwestern Normal University National Orchestra Special Concert to Celebrate the 65th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China" was held at the Gansu Grand Theater; In September 2015, he went to a special concert at Gannan Normal University for Nationalities.
