What drama is the sound of music?
The Sound of Music is a dramatic work adapted from Maria von Trapp's book Trapp Family Choir. It was first staged on Broadway in the form of a musical, and then it was adapted into a movie with the same theme song as the movie!

Plot:

22-year-old Maria is a voluntary nun in the Salzburg Monastery, but her lively and nature-loving personality always causes her trouble in the monastery. Mother Abbess felt that her lively personality was not suitable for a monk's life. So, when she received a request from Colonel von trapp to seek a tutor, she decided to let Maria go, so that she could explore the real purpose of life. Maria arrived at the home of Captain Georg Von Trapp and found that he was a widower with seven children. His long naval life and the grief of his dead wife made him treat his children as strictly as a soldier. Soon, Maria understood the reason why the tutors had left the Sound of Music movie stills (2 photos). It turned out that the children could not get their father's love, and they always played tricks on the teachers to attract their father's attention. (This episode: I Have Confidence (Maria))

The colonel asked Maria to be as strict as he was, but Maria didn't listen, but won the children's friendship with her natural gentleness and kindness. While the Colonel was away, she sewed casual clothes for each child with curtains, led them to play in the garden pool, had a picnic in the beautiful Alps, and taught them to sing. Children's original detention and melancholy were gradually replaced by music and laughter. Soon the colonel went home, bringing back Uncle Max, whom the children liked, and Baroness Elsa Schraeder, the colonel's girlfriend, who the children didn't like very much. The colonel was very dissatisfied with Maria's behavior, but he was very moved when he heard the children singing for the baroness, because Maria brought back music that had not been available at home since his wife died. Maria also prepared a puppet show, the lonely shepherd, with the children. The colonel was attracted by Maria's enthusiasm for infecting others. a few days later, the colonel and the baroness held a grand dance together, and the children also sang at the dance. At the dance, Maria demonstrated the Austrian folk dance "Enderla (also translated as Laendler)" to the children. Unexpectedly, the colonel of the propaganda poster of the sound of music (12) came over and danced with Maria. At the end of the dance, they looked at each other, and their love was clear at a glance. All this was noticed by the baroness. That night, she advised Maria to go back to the monastery. Maria was afraid that her feelings for the colonel would get deeper and deeper, so she left quietly. (this episode: So Long, Farewell (children))

after Maria left, the baroness tried her best to please the children without success. The children were even sadder when they learned that the colonel was going to marry the baroness. They went to the monastery to look for Maria, but they couldn't see her. Maria confessed to the dean her love for the colonel and her bewilderment about life. The dean told her to summon up courage and find her true love even if she climbed every mountain in the world. So Maria went back to von trapp's house. When Maria came back, the baroness found that she could not recover the affection between Maria and the colonel. She voluntarily withdrew from the engagement, and the colonel and Maria confided in each other. Soon, they got married. Unfortunately, their lives have not been happy forever. When they were still on their honeymoon, the German Nazis occupied Austria. Even Rove, the beloved young man of his eldest daughter Lisa, became a member of the Nazis. When they got back to Salzburg, they found Nazi flags everywhere. The Colonel and Maria didn't agree to hang the Nazi flag in their home, but when they were away, Uncle Mike, who was in charge of taking care of the children, helped them register for the Salzburg Festival. As soon as the colonel got home, he received a telegram from the Nazis asking him to report to the Nazi navy immediately. The colonel, who always hated the Nazis, decided to lead his family out of Austria. When they left the villa at night, they were stopped by the Nazis who had been hiding outside the door to monitor them, so the colonel explained that they left to participate in the Hillsborough Festival performance and took out the program as evidence. Accompanied by the Nazis, they came to the venue and performed the songs prepared by the children. At this time, the colonel and Maria sang "Edelweiss". In the song, the love for the motherland Austria was rich and profound. Regardless of the Nazi guards with guns next to them, the audience present also sang "Edelweiss" with the colonel. After the performance, while the prizes were being awarded, the Colonel's family fled the performance site under the cover of music, and the Nazis followed them all the way to the monastery. With the help of nuns, the Colonel's family hid behind the tombstone, but Rove found out and missed their whereabouts, and then they drove away from the Nazis, but the Nazi's car was unplugged by the nuns and could not start the chase, and then they turned over.
