Symbols of music include:

1. Full note: A hollow white note without a stem and a tail is called a "full note".

2. Binary notes: White notes with stems and no endings are called binary notes. A duration equal to 1/2 of the whole note.

3. Quarter notes: Black notes with stems and no endings are called "quarter notes". A duration equal to 1/4 of the whole note.

4. Octave note: A black note with a stem and a suffix is called "Octave note". A duration equal to 1/8 of the whole note.
