In 2003, with a longing for the beauty of music, Chen Chao left his job as a national tax civil servant without pay and began his career as a singer-songwriter. He successively worked for his music dream in Guangzhou, Hunan, Beijing and other cities. In the same year, he wrote songs such as "Seeking Buddha" and "Perfume Is Poisonous".

I experienced the gap between real life and illusory dreams outside, and I once had the idea of ??giving up. Through painful struggles, I slowly learned patience and dedication, and participated in many competitions and performances.
