We are like eagles spreading their wings and flying, we are like petrels facing the wind and waves
We are like The rapid current is unstoppable, rushing out of Asia to win glory for the country
We are like mountain eagles spreading our wings, and we are like petrels facing the wind and breaking waves
We are like the rapid current being unstoppable, rushing out of Asia to win glory for our country
To win glory for the country in the century
For the friendship of the five continents, for the ideals of all mankind
To carry forward the spirit of the Olympics, we compete in the sports field
For the five continents Friendship, for the ideal of all mankind
In order to carry forward the Olympic spirit, we compete in the sports field
We are like eagles spreading our wings and flying, we are like petrels facing the wind and waves
We are like an unstoppable torrent of water, rushing out of Asia towards the century to win glory for our country
For the friendship of the five continents and for the ideals of all mankind
To carry forward the spirit of the Olympics, we compete In that sports field
We are like eagles spreading their wings and flying, we are like petrels facing the wind and waves
We are like the unstoppable rapids of water

Creative background
In 1971, in order to welcome the Asian Table Tennis Friendship Invitational Tournament held in Beijing, relevant departments asked the Chinese People's Liberation Army Military Band to compose a "Athletes' March".
In a few days, seven or eight comrades composed a single melody of "Athletes' March". After some deliberation, everyone agreed that the main melody written by amateur composer Wu Guangrui was better, but it needed further processing. The group leaders decided to send professional creators Jia Shuang and Wu Guangrui to complete this glorious task.
In order to write "Athletes' March", Wu Guangrui had many heart-to-heart conversations with athletes, watched their sports games, read relevant sports materials, and listened to some famous marches at home and abroad repeatedly. In the gymnasium, when the athletes entered the stadium with great appearance, Wu Guangrui also played and sang the song himself, asking the athletes to perform to the beat of the music. After the hard work of Wu Guangrui and other comrades, this heroic "Athletes' March" was finally born.
