Chang Xiangyu (1923-2004), formerly known as Zhang Miaoling, was born in Gong County, Henan Province (now Gongyi City), and was a Henan Opera performing artist.

Chang Xiangyu is a representative of the first, second, third, fifth, sixth and seventh National People's Congress, an honorary member of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and has served as vice chairman of the Chinese Dramatists Association, chairman of the Henan Dramatists Association, Director of Henan Yu Theater, principal of Henan Opera School, professor of Shenyang Conservatory of Music, etc.
