Festival activities emphasize the integration of localization, popularization, government, entertainment, culture, communication and other cultural characteristics, which is of great significance for inheriting and protecting national traditional culture, building local tourism brands and promoting local economic and social development.

The development goal of the ethnic festival professional committee is to organize and promote the development of ethnic festival culture specialty in the discipline construction and academic innovation of anthropology and ethnology in China, and at the same time promote the protection and inheritance of ethnic culture and the vigorous development of ethnic festival activities.

The professional committee of ethnic festivals will hold the "China Ethnic Festival Summit" every year to discuss the policy mechanism, industrial development, academic achievements and communication strategies in the field of ethnic festivals. Take the lead in establishing two strategic cooperation bodies, namely, the Chinese Festival Alliance and the Festival Communication Alliance, and build a bridge between scholars, local festival organizations and the media through "Chinese Zest Garden Ltd." and "Chinese National Festival" (monthly newsletter).

As the most authoritative ethnology research institution in China, the establishment of a special committee for ethnic festivals by the China Anthropology Ethnology Research Association is of great academic and practical significance to the research, protection and inheritance of various ethnic cultures in China, the development of festival culture, tourism industry and economic prosperity in ethnic areas.
