Wang Kun (1925-), Chinese soprano singer. Born on April 14, 1925 in Tang County, Hebei Province. In 1938, she participated in the Women's Anti-Japanese Salvation Association in the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Border Region. She loves singing and often sings songs such as "On the Songhua River", "Singer Under the Iron Heel" and "Flowers of May" for the masses. In April 1939, he joined the Northwest Field Service Corps and engaged in anti-Japanese propaganda work. In 1944, he returned to Yan'an with the group and studied in the Drama and Music Department of Yan'an Lu Xun Art Institute. In April 1945, China's first opera "The White-Haired Girl" premiered in Yan'an. She played the heroine Xi'er and was a success. In addition, she also starred in the new Yangzhou opera "Couple's Literacy", "Brother and Sister Opening up Wasteland", etc., and often performed solo. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, she accompanied Lu Xun Art Institute to Zhangjiakou. Later, he performed in various places in North China with the North China Lianda University Art Troupe. After the founding of New China, he was taught by Soviet expert Medvedev and Chinese singer Lin Junqing, and worked as an actor at the Central Experimental Opera House. In 1962, the Oriental Song and Dance Troupe was established. Wang Kun was transferred from the Central Experimental Opera House to the Oriental Song and Dance Troupe as the director of the Art Committee. In 1965, she participated in the performance of the large-scale music and dance epic "The East is Red" and sang "Song of Farmers". Wang Kun is currently the leader of the Oriental Song and Dance Ensemble.
