Montage (French: Montage) is a transliterated foreign word. It was originally an architectural term, meaning composition and assembly. It is often used in three art fields and can be interpreted as an artificial collage editing technique of meaningful time and space. It was first extended to film art, and later gradually became widely used in derivative fields such as visual arts, including interior design and art paint.
