Different standards for noise are stipulated according to different regions. The maximum environmental noise limits for the five types of urban areas are as follows:

1. Sanitary area, high-end villa area, high-end hotel area, daytime 50dB (decibel) during the day and 40dB at night (referring to 22:00 to 6:00 the next day, the same below);

Article 63

The meanings of the following terms in this law are:< /p>

(1) "Noise emission" refers to the noise radiated by the noise source to the surrounding living environment.

(2) "Noise-sensitive buildings" refer to buildings such as hospitals, schools, institutions, scientific research units, residences, etc. that need to be kept quiet.

(3) "Noise-sensitive building concentration areas" refers to medical areas, cultural, educational and scientific research areas and areas dominated by institutions or residential buildings.

(4) "Night" refers to the period between 22:00 pm and 6:00 am.

(5) "Motor vehicles" refers to cars and motorcycles. Article 30

In areas where noise-sensitive buildings are concentrated in urban areas, it is prohibited to carry out construction operations that produce environmental noise pollution at night, except for emergency repair and emergency operations and those that are required due to production process requirements or special needs. If continuous operation is necessary due to special needs, a certificate from the people's government at or above the county level or its relevant competent departments must be obtained.
