Guan Hua, formerly known as Bao Huapu. Born in January 1922 in Nüguozhuang Village, Sannuhe Township, Fengrun County, Hebei Province. In 1940, he entered the Literature Department of North China Union University and worked as a reporter with the army; in 1943, he was transferred to the Jianbing Drama Club of the Jidong Military Region to engage in literary and artistic creation; after the liberation of the country, he was engaged in lyric creation at the Central Conservatory of Music and the Central Orchestra; in 1963, he was transferred to Beijing The Municipal Writers Association serves as a resident writer.
