Other information
The scores for the Joint Music and Art Student Examination vary from province to province, from region to region, and even from school to school. There are many art schools in our country. Different schools have their own unique ways of calculating scores. Music and art students usually choose schools based on the cultural courses and professional courses they are good at when applying for entrance exams and interviews.
Music and art candidates who perform relatively well in cultural courses usually choose institutions with a higher proportion of cultural courses, such as cultural courses accounting for 50%, and those with better professional scores and poorer scores. Universities with higher scores in cultural courses usually choose institutions with higher professional scores, such as those with professional scores as high as 60%.
In addition, some universities rank music and art students from high to low based on their performance in cultural courses and performance in professional courses. However, few universities adopt the latter admission method. In addition to taking the joint entrance examination, music and art candidates will also take entrance exams for some of their favorite colleges and art schools.
The examination for music art candidates is divided into four courses, namely instrumental music, vocal music, sight-singing and ear training and music theory. Obtain 35% instrumental score, 35% vocal score, 20% sight-singing and ear training and 10% music theory score, which add up to the comprehensive score of the music art student examination.
