Zhang Hengyuan of "The Voice of China Season 2" died on June 13, 2023 due to ineffective treatment.
Zhang Hengyuan (October 14, 1986 - June 13, 2023), born in Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou Province, is a male singer, songwriter and songwriter in Mainland China. In 2013, he participated in the mainland music review program "The Voice of China Season 2" and won the national runner-up and Wang Feng group championship, making his official debut; on December 18, he won the 11th Huading Chinese Best New Singer Award.
It is not easy for Zhang Hengyuan to wander alone in a foreign city for ten years for his rock and roll dream. Without a glamorous appearance or a haloed past, the growth process of Guizhou boy Zhang Hengyuan is devoted to his persistence and love for music. On June 13, 2023, Zhang Hengyuan died due to ineffective treatment. He was only 36 years old.
Performing experience:
In 2013, Zhang Hengyuan participated in the mainland music review program "The Voice of China Season 2" and won four awards on stage with "No Escape" by the Compass Band. After several mentors (Na Ying, Zhang Huimei, Yu Chengqing, and Wang Feng) turned around, he finally chose to join mentor Wang Feng’s team and become a student.
On July 31, 2015, Zhang Hengyuan was invited by a certain game to sing its 7th anniversary theme song "Young Unwilling to Accept Defeat". On Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2015, Zhang Hengyuan’s original single "Memory" was released with warmth. In July 2016, the song "Drifting" sung by Zhang Hengyuan was selected as the ending theme of the Chinese comic "Qin Shi Mingyue".
In October 2016, Zhang Hengyuan’s original singles "Luxury Goods" and "The Place Closest to the Sky" were released one after another, and then "Traveler Worthy of Love" was released. On December 27, Zhang Hengyuan's new album "Black Wings" was released online, with ten songs included. The entire album not only interprets Zhang Hengyuan's true inner monologue, but also shows his original intention on the road to pursuing his dreams.
