The School of Music of Hubei Normal University is a secondary college affiliated to Hubei Normal University located in Huangshi, Hubei.
The School of Music is located on the beautiful Qingshan Lake campus. It currently has musicology (including three directions: music education, music performance, composition and composition technology theory), dance, dance performance and broadcasting. There are four majors in hosting art, and six teaching and research sections of music theory, vocal music, piano, instrumental music, dance and broadcast hosting. It has a team of teachers with reasonable structure and good development trend.
In the past three years, the teachers of the college have won the first prize in tenor in the 2011 Verdi International Vocal Competition, the second prize in the bel canto group in the 2012 Asian International Young Singer Competition, and the Ministry of Culture’s first Meet China Music and Art Festival in Vienna, Austria. Best Performance Award and many other national and international awards. The School of Music has been recruiting master's degree students in curriculum and teaching theory (music) and music aesthetics since 2012. In 2014, it was approved as a professional master of arts degree program.
