If you care about sound quality,

Suggestion 1: Buy a player with HIFI function (generally priced above 1,000), and then buy a pair of better headphones (akg , Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, and Goethe's flagships are all acceptable), and then download the lossless version of digital music. Then it’s ok~

Suggestion 2: Buy a record player (I don’t know if this thing is still available)

If you just want to listen to general pop music, then Apple (then Buying a better pair of headphones supported by your phone or using original headphones) should be enough.
