Ryuichi Sakamoto, born on January 17, 1952 in Tokyo, Japan, graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts. He is a Japanese composer, music producer, singer, actor and pianist. He is known as the "Godfather of New Music" . In 1978, he formed the electronic group Yellow Magic Orchestra and made his debut with the release of his solo album "Thousand Knives" in the same year.
