The musical fountains in Wuhan used to be closed, but now they are finally open. The fountain in Shouyi Square was recently opened. You can go shopping on weekends and see the fountain attractions. Here are the details.
Opening hours of the musical fountain in Shouyi Square
On the evening of the 14th, the musical fountain in Shouyi Square in Wuchang reopened.
Accompanied by cheerful accompaniment songs such as "Beautiful Wuhan Welcomes You", "Yellow Crane Tower" and "Tomorrow Will Be Better", the musical dry fountain in Wuchang Shouyi Square danced gracefully, and more than 200 matrix nozzles sprayed water jets. Under the illumination of alternately flashing colored lights, they turned into different shapes and colors, dreamlike and attracting many citizens to watch.
The fountain in Shouyi Square will open at 7:00 pm every Tuesday to Friday and holidays (closed on Mondays, rainy and snowy days and winter) according to seasonal changes, and lasts for 20 minutes each time.
In previous years, the musical dry fountain in Shouyi Square was opened in May. At present, epidemic prevention and control has entered the normal state. In order to actively respond to Hubei Province's "Travel Hubei with Love" campaign, comply with the expectations of citizens and tourists, and take into account the actual prevention and control situation in the park, the fountain has reopened.
Guidelines for visiting Shouyi Square
This is the place where the first shot of the Revolution of 1911 was fired. Its main body is divided into two squares. The north square was originally the Hubei Provincial Consultative Bureau in the late Qing Dynasty. After the success of the Wuchang Uprising, the revolutionaries established a military government here, which once served as the "central government of the Republic of China". It is now the Wuchang Uprising Memorial Hall of the Revolution of 1911; because the main building is the Red Building, it is also called the "Red Building".
Next to the square is the Wuhan Revolution Museum, commonly known as the "Red Mansion". It is the former site of the Hubei Military Government of the Republic of China, also known as the former site of the Wuchang Uprising Government, the former site of the Revolution of 1911, etc. It is the iconic landscape of Wuhan Shouyi Culture.
Outside the Xinhai Revolution Memorial Hall, there is a sculpture facing the Republic of China.
It takes the Sun Yat-sen statue to Huangxing Baijiang Terrace as the central axis of the square, and Wuluo Road is divided into two parts, north and south. The square is composed of two major axes: the commemorative axis in the north-south direction and the cultural landscape axis in the east-west direction. At the intersection of the two axes, there is a large fountain flower bed designed with 18 stars and stripes, highlighting the history of the First Rebellion of 1911. The square is free to play. It's very big and there are many people playing there every day. Great for walking.
