On the second day after arriving in Lhasa, I went to the Potala Palace as scheduled. Because of the epidemic, I made an appointment to visit the Potala Palace at the earliest time in the morning, which happened to conflict with the time for the best viewing spots. Therefore, we were not able to climb Yaowang Mountain as we wished that day, nor could we reach the best viewing point of the Potala Palace. However, I still met the Potala Palace Square. At that time, I had an intuition in my heart that I would come to this place again...
I once wrote that the greatest happiness in life is There is a place where you can temporarily forget the trivialities and worries in life and put yourself in a strange place. There is no past here, and there is no pressure from life. You can only feel the pious heart and the rich religious and cultural color with your heart.
To me, the Potala Palace is such a place. There is endless emptiness under the blue sky and white clouds. Everyone has different reasons for traveling to Tibet and also has different yearnings for Tibet.
That day, it was almost eight o'clock in the evening when we returned to Lhasa from Yanghu. Naturally, it is too late to go to Barkhor Street during this time, as it is already closed.
However, the night view of the Potala Palace is still worth looking forward to. So, a group of us decided to go to the Potala Palace to have a look.
The starting fare of taxis in Lhasa is not expensive and travel is convenient, but the waiting time for the taxi is long. It took us about ten minutes to take a taxi from the hotel to the Potala Palace. There is limited traffic on the Potala Palace section during the evening hours, so you need to go from the underground passage to the entrance of Potala Palace Square. You need to bring your ID card for face recognition, and you also need to scan the venue code to enter.
There were so many people that night and there was a long queue. As I approached the entrance, as fate would have it, I met an aunt from Baoji, Shaanxi who was on the train when I came to Lhasa.
She held my hand excitedly and shouted "Xiao He", we met again! In fact, everyone consciously wears a mask in public, but she was able to recognize me in the crowd at a glance, which surprised me. After chatting for a few words, I realized that our bond is really deep.
Meeting each other in the vast crowd was a kind of fate, so that later on. We met when we came here, met when we were playing, and met again when we returned. This indicates that we may meet again.
In the south of the square, stands a monument to the peaceful liberation of Tibet, which is of very important significance. During the day, you can clearly see the words "Long Live the Motherland" on the mountain at the right rear of the monument.
The Tibet Peaceful Liberation Monument was built on May 22, 2001 and is located in the Potala Palace Square. At night, after the rain, the Peaceful Liberation Monument looks even more perfect.
Potala Palace Square is the highest city square in the world. It is located directly opposite the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet. It is an important activity venue in Lhasa and one of the tourist attractions where Chinese and foreign tourists gather. It is a modern square integrating leisure, culture, gathering and other functions.
This square is also an important part of the Potala Palace, a world cultural heritage.
Generally speaking, the recreational facilities in the square are relatively complete, including a musical fountain, which can be watched here.
We walked in the Potala Palace Square in the evening. The voice prompts started broadcasting at around 8 o'clock, and the musical fountain started from 8:30-9:30. This added another dimension to the day's meeting with my uncles and aunts. The drama and interest also deepened the impression of the Potala Palace at night.
