Qiao Shanzhong
Qiao Shanzhong, whose real name is Yamanaka Akira, was born on September 2, 1946 in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture. After graduating from high school, he boxed for three years. In 1964, he made his film debut in "Bicycle Thief" starring Yasuoka Yasuoka. In 1968, he joined the band Flower Travellin' and performed in Japan and abroad. The band disbanded five years later. In 1977, he sang the theme song of the movie "Witness" and became a hit. In 1979, he produced music such as "Warring States Self-Defense Forces". Active charity activities have also been carried out outside Japan. At 6:56 a.m. on August 6, 2011, he died of lung cancer in a hospital in Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture. He was 64 years old.
