In your opinion, how did Gao Yang perform during the Blue Round 1 Tour and the 2nd Round Tour?

Gao Yang participated in the first tour and the second tour of the "Blue in Your Eyes" series of Bel Canto concerts (Beijing/Shijiazhuang/Chengdu/Xi'an/Shenzhen), with the theme Set Sail with the Wind; Second Tour of 4 shows (2 shows in Shanghai/Tianjin/Shenzhen), the theme of the Shanghai show is Sound Fantasy, and the theme of the Tianjin/Shenzhen show is Youth Singing Tour.

I have only been to the 0608 Beijing show on the first tour and the 0813/0814 Shanghai show on the second tour. I will answer the question based on these three performances. On the whole, Blue 1 is Bossa Nova's jazz style, which is quiet and lazy; Blue 2's timbre fantasy and juvenile singing are more lively and dynamic in style, with a hint of bel canto and disco. In both rounds of tours, Gao Yang gave singing that matched the theme and style, making people feel the versatility and three-dimensionality of Gao Yang's stage style. At the same time, the two rounds of tours were separated by 2 months. During this period, Gao Yang completed 26 summer tours of his first musical "Daddy Long Legs" and also participated in 2 musical star highlight concerts. Under such a devilish schedule, Gao Yang changed from quantitative to qualitative changes, which enabled him to show a dramatic improvement in his singing status during the second tour compared with the first tour, as well as a more mature and comfortable typhoon.

Lanyi 0608 Beijing Performance

This is my first time listening to Gao Yang live, and to be honest, I can’t say I am completely satisfied. After listening to it as a whole, what impressed me most about Gao Yang was his timbre. The clear and bright tenor was indeed beautiful; but I also understood Gao Yang’s "fear of heights" to a certain extent. I felt that in the treble part, Gao Yang The processing is always a bit stiff, resulting in some small gaps in the emotional expression of the song, similar to the lag between different key strokes of a mechanical keyboard.

This time Gao Yang’s solo includes Bai Yueguang, and the duet includes “She’s So Beautiful/Love Me Tender” with Wang Xi, “Big Harbor” with Xiao Ying, and “Quando quando quando/One Step Away” with Jia Fan. The full chorus is over the rainbow.

The most impressive songs are White Moonlight and Big Harbor. In the white moonlight, the sound of Gao Yang was so beautiful. However, a more subjective feeling about the processing of the treble part is that Gao Yang's voice goes straight up, and the entire expression is relatively straightforward. In the performance of the song "Big Harbor", you can feel that Gao Yang is a little bit withdrawn. With the purple water-sleeved performance costume, the whole song has a charming atmosphere; the harmony of the sheep's "woo" is beautiful , but the timbre of Xiao Ying’s voice didn’t quite match Gao Yang’s, so after listening to this song for the first time, to be honest, I wasn’t particularly attracted to it. I even preferred the version that Xiao Ying sang in a low voice in the original version of Xiami.

Other songs, except that she is so beautiful, did not leave a deep impression.

Blue two 0813/0814 Shanghai venue

It’s only been two months since we last performed on stage, and it’s already amazing to see each other again. Gao Yang on Laner's stage is more relaxed and at ease, whether singing or performing, his high notes are no longer stiff, and his singing has a rich sense of narrative.

This time Gao Yang’s solo includes White Moonlight, the duet includes Cathedral Era, Big Harbor and La Califfa, and the full chorus includes Happy, The Blue in Your Eyes and Night Shanghai. Mainly repo for White Moonlight, Cathedral Era, La Califfa and Happy.

Let’s talk about the same song as Lan Yi***, White Moonlight and Big Harbor.

Bai Yueguang, compared with Lan Yi, completed the song very freely and had emotional narration. The whole song was integrated and people would not pay attention to the high notes deliberately.

In Dahaiguang, if Gao Yang and Xiao Ying were cautiously exploring cooperation in Blue One, then Blue Two was a dialogue between the two evenly matched. Lan Er's version does not have the charming feeling of Lan Yi. Gao Yang is obviously more confident. The whole song finally develops a sense of tension of you coming and going, time and space intertwined.

Let’s talk about the new songs.

In the Cathedral era, it can only be said that Gao Yang was really honed on the musical stage, and that sense of narrative was conveyed in the first sentence. Later, when we reached the high notes of the chorus, the level gradually broadened and steadily increased, and the sound became thicker. This song is really enjoyable to listen to.

la califfa, the choir's first collaboration. I had been worried that the sound might be muffled during the collaboration between Gao Yang and Xing Yuan, but on the spot I found that the worry was completely unnecessary. The voices of the two are in perfect harmony. The difference is that Xingyuan's voice is more magnificent and graceful, like melting glacier water, Gao Yang's voice is gurgling, and Xingyuan's voice is like a layer of flowing sparkling light covering the melting water. A slight breeze stirred up the waves, scattering stars all over the river.

Happy, it was my first time to see Gao Yang’s bel canto performance. Comparing the stiff "how about love" in the season of love during the show with the cane movement in the early days of growing legs, Typhoon is completely transformed. It can be felt that Gao Yang is beginning to truly enjoy and play with the stage.

After reading Blue 1 and Blue 2, my biggest feeling is that I admire Gao Yang’s practical theory so much. When Gao Yang returned to China and planned to enter the field of musicals, there were doubts. However, Gao Yang really grew up rapidly on the stage. In just two months, people were amazed at his progress and growth. The stage is really the most training place. We also look forward to a richer, more diverse, exciting and mature stage for Gao Yang in the future.
