Some clarifications on the misrepresentation of Shenandoah University’s MBA program in the United States

I recently saw an article that spared no effort to misrepresent Shenandoah University’s MBA degree program in China. It is understandable. Competitor behavior, because there are few similar programs on the market that can compare with the Shenandoah University MBA degree program, mainly because the price/performance ratio is too high. Shenandoah Eastern University is a national university in the United States with a history of more than 100 years. The business school is accredited by AACSB. The MBA program is approved by the Southern Region Higher Education (SACSCOC) of the U.S. Department of Education and reported to the AACSB Committee for supervision. Under the circumstances, students are enrolled in schools in China. The Shenandoah MBA cannot compete with similar programs and has to resort to dishonorable means to distort and slander. Therefore, we would like to make the following clarifications:

1. Our colleagues slandered us to promote our relationship with Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The Shenandoah University MBA program in China has never publicized its cooperation with Shanghai Jiao Tong University. However, when the program entered China, it did negotiate with the Overseas College of Jiao Tong University. In the end, the cooperation failed. However, the approval process for the program in the United States was completed, and some teaching teachers were indeed from Shanghai Jiao Tong University Antai School of Economics and Management. But we have never recruited students in the name of cooperating with Jiaotong University. Besides, Jiaotong University is now so strict about its own brand management. If we had used the guise of Jiaotong University to promote enrollment as our colleagues said, Shanghai Jiao Tong University would have We were warned by phone, but it never happened. Our office is next door to Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

2. Peers slander Shenandoah University’s MBA degree program as not a degree program. Its rationale is that the name of the program is GET-MBA, which stands for GlobalExecutiveTrack MBA, which in Chinese translates to Global Executive Training MBA, and is therefore not a degree. GET-MBA is the abbreviation of the Global Executive Track Master of Business Administration. The Chinese translation is Global Executive Master of Business Administration. The school only added a prefix for the convenience of management projects, which attracted malicious distortions. The real situation is:

Students can obtain a business administration (MBA) degree after completing 36 credits.

Chinese and American professors jointly teach in Shanghai, and most of the courses are taught by American professors, bilingual face-to-face teaching, with on-site translation

The syllabus and teaching content of the entire course are provided by Shenandoah The university business school carefully designs and supervises the implementation. Chinese students who complete this project will be awarded an MBA degree certificate. This degree certificate is the same as the MBA degree from Shenandoah University in the United States.

6. Maliciously slandering us and promoting the cooperative relationship between Shenandoah University in the United States and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. The real situation is that we have cooperated with Shanghai University of Finance and Economics on EMBA admissions, but we have never publicized the cooperative relationship between Shenandoah University and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. The fact that we have a cooperative relationship with Shanghai University of Finance and Economics is just to illustrate our ability to operate such projects.
