Five Elements

The five elements of gold, wood, water, fire, and earth are actually five kinds of breath. The breath of the five elements originates from the east and travels clockwise. Its arrangement is: wood - Fire-earth-metal-water; the five elements in the east are wood, the season is spring, and everything begins in spring; the five elements in the north are water, the season is winter, and everything sleeps in winter; this is the growth law of the five elements.

2. The five tones

The five tones are Gong, Shang, Jiao, Zheng and Yu. They are five musical scales, corresponding to the five elements as follows:

Gong (earth), Shang (gold), Jiao (wood), Zheng (fire), Yu (water)

The five tones start in the west and go counterclockwise. The west is gold. Its arrangement is: Shang (gold) - Zheng (Fire) - Jiao (Wood) - Yu (Water) - Gong (Earth);

So, since it is Nayin, of course it is Naiyin according to the arrangement of the five tones, that is to say, Nayin originates from Western Jin. The illustrations of the Five Elements and the Five Tones are as follows:
