Style:
Although it is a fantasy story, it is not a worldview filled with dreams and hopes, but mostly tragedy and decadence. Theme is the center. Stories of death are often described, and REVO himself once mocked himself as "a murderous prince in the vocal world." Even so, not all negative aspects are described as a characteristic.
Some stories end with one song, some are vertically connected to the theme of the entire album, and some are in the form of suites that are horizontally connected beyond the boundaries of the album, which is closer to the so-called anthology type.
It can be seen from works such as "Chronicle", "Chronicle 2nd" and "Roman" that SH takes history as its theme. The subject matter of this extension line was used a lot in subsequent works. REVO himself also said in an interview that history (the characters narrated in it) is used as the main axis of the story. Moreover, many of the works with historical themes seem to be set in eras from ancient times to modern Europe.
(The music uses European languages ??such as Latin, French, and Italian, which is consistent with the so-called "fantasy" stage, and has a strong Middle World European color)
The details and outcome of the story are partly unclear. There are many descriptions, and the world view is expressed visually. Except for Jacket Illust, there are basically no promotional images of "エルの楽园 [→ side: E →]" and descriptions in the "Elysion" concert tour. A personal explanation from the performance manager, Sikkim Minato. Therefore, it has become a unique pleasure for fans to discuss their respective understandings of the works.
Musicality
A variety of elements are used in it, starting from pops and rock to folk music, nursery rhymes, etc. The arrangement is considered to be heavily influenced by the metal style. The general audience's evaluation has a polar tendency of extreme likes and dislikes. The creator's habit of appearing in the melodies he composed is not unique and conspicuous, but it is called "Revo Festival" by some fans. In addition, especially the early works, it can be seen that they were deeply influenced by Kenji Ito of the pre-Square era. In the works after "Lost", narration and lines called "Yuり" were added before and after the singing and in the intervals. Especially Jimang's hoarse and charming voice and acting skills in "Yuり" are also what made him famous. One of the reasons why the audience's likes and dislikes are so divided.
There are many songs that are not suitable for karaoke due to their composition, long playing time, content of lyrics, etc. However, due to the strong desire of fans, various companies have launched communication karaoke machines since 2005. SH's music starts playing. From February 2006 to now, most of the works since commercialization can be sung (spoken) in karaoke.
In the doujin period, REVO itself was the core, and then the composition of the band’s members was decided, and there was a side that was strict about the sound source. REVO personally participated in the production of the impression CD of "Legendary" (original work by Hideshi Otsuka) and joined forces with Jake and Ebisu. This tendency towards sound source selection became more obvious in the future. (In the FANCLUB report, these two people are called "indispensable presence in REVO WORKS") In the second period, Atsushi Hasegawa and Kenichi Fujimoto, members of GERARD, a stronghold in the progressive rock field, joined, and they were questioned whether progressive rock Too strong in taste[35]. Composition
Early works centered on REVO's own instrumental performance and creation, and from "Chronicle 2nd" onwards, many supporting musicians were employed. The three live performances held in 2005 were basically composed of the same members as "Elysion ~Rakuen Fantasy Story Suite~".
The second phase of activities started in the spring of 2006 emphasized the attitude of "REVO SOLO PROJECT", and singers and performers did not need a specific composition.

Since yokoyan and Revo are good friends in private, all covers of SH have been drawn by yokoyan since the first CD in the fan music era. And yokoyan lives up to expectations, vividly expressing the worldview of each album in the cover (especially starting from Chronicle 2nd, it has completely reached a new level).
Although this "Chronicle" is pure music, it also has a plot. PicoMari, who appeared on the hidden bonus track No. 44 in Lost, became the protagonist of this pleasure CD "Pico Magic". In fact, Pico originally refers to the three-chord music of the old Famicom. At that time, Revo Lord made the song "壊れたマリオネット" into a pico version in Lost, so he took the two mari (mari) in the song title. The words are combined into a song by PicoMari. After that, she became the mysterious girl in SoundHorizon, and also a mysterious radio girl in Aramary’s 108 personalities (laughs). In this album, there is the famous PicoMari incantation to summon "ぴこ魔神☆ (Pico Demon God)", which appears in the bonus track in the form of reverse regeneration (that is, played backwards). 5th story CD 『Roman 』.
The total number of participants reached a luxurious lineup of more than 70 people (including more than 20 voice actors <---it later turned out that most of them were just here to play part-time).
There is nothing to say about the arrangement and plot, it is still so perfect. This album is called a masterpiece because it connects the seemingly unrelated stories of all previous albums (Revo you are not a human being!!!). Moreover, the lyrics book has a great layout. There are some small moon-shaped holes on each page, and you can see the keywords of the next song through the holes. There are also many passwords buried in the lyrics. After cracking two different passwords, enter the password on the official website and you can download the 2 bonus tracks.
Generally speaking, this CD, as the first story CD of the second period of SH, has mixed reviews.
