Yunnan University of the Arts is the second university and one of the eight comprehensive general undergraduate art colleges in the country.

1. School introduction:

The school has two campuses, Chenggong and Mayuan, covering an area of ??more than 930 acres. There are the School of Music, School of Fine Arts, School of Design, School of Drama, School of Dance, School of Film and Television, School of Art Management, School of Higher Vocational Education and School of Continuing Education, Institute of National Arts, School of Marxism, Public Education Department, and Physical Education. The teaching department has 12 teaching units and 1 affiliated art school.

2. Discipline construction:

There are currently 2 provincial-level characteristic and advantageous disciplines: art theory, music and dance, and 3 provincial-level A-level plateau disciplines: music and dance Studies, drama and film and television studies, design studies, 2 provincial first-class characteristic construction disciplines: drama and film and television studies, fine arts, including 1 provincial first-class key support construction discipline.

Yunnan Provincial Collaborative Innovation Center, key laboratories, engineering research centers, bases, think tanks and other provincial and ministerial scientific research platforms are 8, and there are 10 provincial teaching and scientific research teams.

In the fourth round of subject evaluation by the Ministry of Education, multiple indicators of fine arts, drama and film, music and dance, design, and art theory ranked among the best among participating institutions.

3. Faculty:

The college currently has 625 faculty members, including 525 faculty members at the university headquarters and 100 faculty members at the affiliated schools.

Among the 274 full-time teachers at the university headquarters, 35 have the title of professor, 103 have the title of associate professor, 5 are experts enjoying special allowances from the State Council, and 4 are experts with outstanding contributions at the provincial level. Four experts enjoy special subsidies from the Yunnan Provincial Government.
