Sister Drum is a work created by He Xuntian for many years, during which He Xuntian went to Tibet many times to find himself. During 1994, He Xuntian's accumulation for many years coincided with his creative feelings, so he finally finished this song. ?
1In the summer of 994, Zhu Zheqin went to Tibet to experience the creation of Sister Drum. Late one night, Zhu Zheqin came to the foot of Potala Palace and sat there alone watching the moon and stars until dawn. At four or five o'clock in the morning, Zhu Zheqin heard a tinkling sound in the distance, and people who went to the celestial burial passed by that place. On the morning of Mid-Autumn Festival, when Zhu Zheqin passed a small Tibetan courtyard on her way to drepung monastery, she saw a Tibetan mother applying ghee to her children.
Listening to people's prayers to appease the dead souls in the morning and watching the newborn babies embrace in the sun, she realized at that moment that the last death was as warm as the first birth. After coming back from Tibet, Zhu Zheqin had a heartfelt feeling when singing the songs in Sister Drum.
When Zhu Zheqin recorded this album, every song was sung from beginning to end, without any editing or mixing, because she freely expressed her deep feelings. He Xuntian uses a large number of western electronic synthesizers and adopts the most primitive collection method, but the finished works are full of rich oriental national flavor. ?
Someone once suggested that Zhu Zheqin cover the songs in the album in English in order to better enter the western market. But Zhu Zheqin doesn't think it is necessary, because this is the music she wants to make, and the oriental language is an inseparable factor in the creation of this piece of music. ?
In the process of making this album, Zhu Zheqin's record company invested some money at that time, but the record company later felt that there should be no economic recovery in this album, so it was unwilling to invest any more money. So Zhu Zheqin took out all her savings and signed a contract with a record company to win overseas copyright for her.
Later, Warner Music International took a fancy to this album, and entrusted its subsidiary "UFO" record company in Taiwan Province Province for global distribution. Zhu Zheqin's record company realized the real benefits and persuaded Zhu Zheqin to cancel the overseas copyright contract of this album. ?
On the cover of this album, there are three Zhu Zheqin standing on the Himalayas. These three people represent samsara, and the values of life of orientals are endless. Heaven and earth are immortal and continuous.
