When Jay Chou was in the second grade of junior high school, his parents went through the divorce procedures and agreed that he would be raised by his mother, Ye Huimei.

In September 1997, with the encouragement of his mother, Jay Chou participated in the performance of "The Newcomer King". Later, the host Wu Zongxian found Jay Chou and invited him to work as a music assistant at "Alfa Music Company".

After entering the music company, Jay Chou composed the song "Tears Know", but was rejected by Andy Lau when recommended. Later, Jay Chou wrote a song "Nunchaku" for Zhang Huimei, but was rejected again. Finally, with Wu Zongxian's encouragement, Jay Chou walked onto the stage and began to sing the songs he composed.

Character evaluation:

Jay Chou is an extraordinary artist. His talent is not only reflected in his ability to improvise on the spot and his proficiency in music theory and various musical instruments, but also in his unconventional creative ideas. He incorporates various Eastern and Western music into his music, such as jazz, blues, rock, nakahi, folk, hip-hop, American country music, electronic music, etc.

He not only makes complex and subtle fusions of popular music, but also boldly uses and matches various musical instruments to create unexpected effects. This kind of unconstrained creative thinking also makes Jay Chou's songs have a strong personal style, and they are not exactly the same as any other music form.
