The Golden Melody Awards is the largest music award in Taiwan. It has been held since 1990 and is hosted by the Information Bureau of the Executive Yuan of Taiwan. Each award ceremony is held approximately before May or June every year.

On June 23, 2018, the 29th Golden Melody Awards was held at the Taipei Arena. Eason Chan and Xu Jiaying won the Best Mandarin Male and Female Singer Awards respectively. Xu Jiaying's "Psychology" won the Best Mandarin Album.
