This year's Southeast Pop Music List has a particularly prominent strait feature. For the first time, the Organizing Committee added a pop music contribution award to commend musicians who have made outstanding contributions to cross-strait music and cultural exchanges. Chyi Yu, the veteran music diva who finally has the "Sound of Nature", won this honor for the first time.
