Bodhi has no tree, and
a mirror is not a stand.
Originally there was nothing,
Where to stir up dust.
This passage is excerpted from four famous verses by Master Huineng, the sixth ancestor of Zen Buddhism. Every time you read it, you will suddenly become enlightened. In this world, it is inevitable that things will disturb your mood. When you are confused, you might as well slow down, find a quiet place, and listen to your inner voice. This time my friends and I specially came to Xinxing County, Yunfu, the hometown of the Sixth Patriarch, and experienced a Zen meditation and health trip at the Zen Spring Resort Hotel, the first Zen culture-themed hotel in South China. This place has just been rated as "China's Natural Oxygen Bar", where you can enjoy hundreds of billions of negative ions.
Buddha said: All living beings have Buddha nature, and the world is full of Zen. The Zen Spring Hot Spring Resort Hotel is located in Longshan Scenic Area, Xinxing County, Guangdong Province, the hometown of Huineng, the sixth ancestor of Zen Buddhism, close to the neighboring country. The temple faces a natural river to the west, is surrounded by mountains, is dotted with hot springs, and is rich in cultural, historical and natural landscape resources.
I was shocked the moment I walked into the lobby. It is all solid wood and adopts the "straight up and down" architectural style and traditional Chinese mortise and tenon structure. The overall design is grand and majestic! Not a single nail was used, which is amazing.
The throne placed in the lobby is a scene that can only be seen in TV dramas. It is like a beautiful piece of art presented before your eyes. It is said that they are all made of small-leaf rosewood imported from India. They are collector's editions of the Forbidden City and are worth 80 million. Sit and look at the carvings, all the details are amazing.
After checking in at the front desk, you can go to the guest room to rest. When you open the door of the room, you have a great view. The antique Chinese style is full of Cantonese Zen charm.
The interior is furnished with a complete set of Laos rosewood and Ming-style furniture, and the materials used are extremely luxurious and exquisite.
The bathroom is separated from wet and dry areas and has everything you need. The shape of the toiletries is also unique, in the shape of a gourd, and the fragrance smells particularly good.
The "Sixth Patriarch's Altar Sutra" and some introductions to meditation programs were also placed on the desk in the guest room. After reading it, I felt good, so I specially made an appointment for the "One-day Zen" for the next day. Meditation and meditation.
Walking out of the guest room and towards the hotel's garden, you will find picturesque scenery everywhere. Every brick, every tile, every plant and every tree contains an infinite Zen atmosphere, allowing the mind to truly relax and rest.
While strolling here, I also met a Zen dance master who was cultivating himself and recuperating, as if he was absorbing the aura of heaven and earth and absorbing the essence of all things. The touching scene made me stop in my tracks. He even danced to the music by the lake, performing all kinds of difficult moves with ease. Later we chatted and learned that my little brother had been here for vacation and meditation for several days. In addition to his enthusiasm, he took us to see the surrounding environment.
The landscape and rocks that come into view are planted with Japanese black pine trees, with dark green needles, evergreen all year round, and elegant trees that can be enjoyed all year round. Because Guangdong here pays special attention to Feng Shui, arranging landscape and stone scenery behind the reception desk not only enriches the landscape, but also means "having a backing".
The "three no's" next to it mean "don't look, listen, or speak." Don't look when you don't want to see, don't listen when you don't want to listen, and don't speak when you don't want to speak, implying the "closed door" advocated by Buddhism. The thought of "cover your eyes, cover your ears, and silence your voice". The three Buddhas are not only handicrafts, but also embody the transcendent realm of Buddhism. It also reminds people to have less selfish desires and be cautious in their words and deeds. If everyone can do the "three no's", there will be less right and wrong and more harmony.
The over 200-year-old Bodhi tree opposite was transplanted from an old forest in the mountains of India. In Buddhism, the Bodhi tree is known as the "sacred tree", which means enlightenment and wisdom. It is used to refer to a person waking up from a dream, suddenly realizing the truth, and reaching an otherworldly state.
If you continue walking forward, you can see a large crystal stone from Brazil, with its crystal cylinder. It has horizontal lines and looks like a large diamond. Under the sunlight, the crystal is crystal clear and the crystal surface shines like a divine jade. It is truly a unique stone and is known as the "Crystal King" of pure natural gem quality. It is rare and commonly known as "power stone" and "wealth stone". It is a symbol of good luck and nobility. It is used to control the house, ward off evil spirits, ward off evil spirits, cure diseases, maintain peace, and bring good luck and good fortune.
< p> Of course, you must visit the hotel’s mahogany exhibition hall, which is eye-opening! The Yunlong throne made of small-leaf rosewood is placed at the entrance, which is very domineering and the entire mahogany exhibition hall is basically based on the living room. , dining room, study room, and bedroom will be gradually displayed. The Sixth Patriarch Hall behind the lobby will enshrine the Buddha statue of the Sixth Patriarch Huineng. At the same time, the Sixth Patriarch Hall is also an exclusive project for Zen meditation.
The wellness center is equipped with tennis courts, adult and children's swimming pools, fitness rooms, yoga rooms and Tai Chi practice rooms.
The indoor luxury swimming pool located in the wellness center is low-key. Luxurious, unique and strong. Like the hotel lobby, the whole structure adopts the traditional Chinese mortise and tenon structure. The entire wooden structure of the swimming pool is connected by the concave and convex combination of mortise and tenon joints without using a single nail. The sunlight shines through the roof onto the water, and the refracted light is also very beautiful.
The water-friendly platform behind the meditation hall is a good place to enjoy the scenery, enjoy the cool air, and practice yoga.
The Longshan Lake in the backyard is an artificial lake. Its water level is much higher than that of the Zen Path. Walking on the Zen Path is like walking on water, which is full of artistic conception.
The Stone Falls is also a man-made landscape not to be missed. It is decorated with green plants and moss, and the scenery is pleasant.
The Sixth Patriarch Zen Residence is the largest single-family villa in the hotel. It is a presidential suite and covers an area of ??2,380 square meters. All supporting furniture is made of small-leaf rosewood. And the supporting facilities are very complete, including 7 rooms, 5 swimming pools and independent private swimming pools, and equipped with living room, conference room, study room, KTV, kitchen, restaurant, spa room, etc.
It is said that this bed alone is worth tens of millions.
The living room is called the Hall of Mirrors. In ancient times, there was a saying that the hall of mirrors is high. All the furniture placed in the living room is made of small leaf red sandalwood. The collection value of a throne is equivalent to that of a Ferrari sports car, which is very precious.
After visiting the hotel, it is already evening. It is best to put on your swimsuit and take a dip in the Zen spring. This is also the best way to maintain health in winter.
The hotel's hot spring area has a unique hot spring resource in Guangdong Province and an extremely rare hot spring resource in the world - sulfur high-temperature mineral spring, which is rich in trace elements and has a good health care effect on the human body. There are 25 special soaking pools inside, which can be enjoyed as if you are in a forest, where you can calmly wash away the dust...
Every afternoon, there are staff doing Zen dance and yoga here, which is gentle and calm, and the years are quiet. ..
It is extremely enjoyable to bathe in large and small hot spring pools, relax your body bit by bit, and enjoy the gifts of nature. After soaking in the hot springs, you can go to the rest area on the second floor to enjoy free snacks, tea, and fruits.
The next day, after changing into plain clothes, you can experience the inner energy brought by "One Day Zen" in the hotel. The first class is about Buddhist etiquette. With a pious heart, you will have a new understanding of life by listening to the one-hour sharing by Master Guoen Temple.
In the afternoon, go to the meditation hall to meditate. The space here can accommodate up to 20 people at a time. If you come alone to experience it, there is no need to make a reservation, you can enter after taking off your shoes; the other is to be guided by the instructor, relax to the rhythm of the music and the instructor's guidance, and then enter meditation. This is a paid item, and you need to make an appointment at the front desk in advance. .
After meditating, you can go to the sutra-copying room that is open regularly. Copying a copy of the "Prajnaparamita Heart Sutra" by yourself, whether you take it home to collect or enshrine it in front of the statue of the Sixth Patriarch, is a meritorious deed. Countless, auspicious things.
Before copying, you need to clean your hands, wipe them, and incense them to show solemnity. Speech must be suppressed during the copying process, and all movements must be slow and gentle...
Beautiful pens and writing brushes are provided on the desk to adapt to the different writing requirements of guests. Each copying is equivalent to reciting the Prajnaparamita Heart Sutra ten times.
Zen Xin Zhai is the place where the "Zen Tea Ceremony" and "Guotang Zhai Banquet" are included in the exclusive Zen meditation projects. The Guotang Zhai Banquet is a vegetarian feast with an appropriately simplified form based on the Guotang Zhai in the temple. It embodies five Buddhist concepts: gratitude and cherishing blessings, compassion and equality, contentment and thrift, introspection and introspection, and green environmental protection.
Zen Tea is open at regular times every afternoon and is charged at 38 yuan per person. It is very pleasant to come here to have a cup of tea, chat with friends, and share every bit of life.
In addition to Zen tea, you can also learn the color empty drum and feel the most ethereal sound in the world. The color empty drum corresponds to the five elements "earth, metal, wood, fire, and water" and connects the five internal organs "spleen, lungs, liver, heart, and kidneys." When meditating or sitting quietly, empty everything and tap it gently, and instantly people will automatically enter an extremely peaceful state.
Wait until night to experience the telepathic lantern. According to the master's instructions, line up under the Bodhi tree, go to the Sixth Patriarch Hall to pass on the lantern and make a wish, and slowly move forward listening to the sound of the wooden fish.
Each lotus lantern carries a person’s wish for blessing, and finally floats into the distance with the water of Longshan Lake...
I have always heard that the incense of Guoen Temple is very good. It was very prosperous and the prayers were very effective. On the third day in the hotel, I went to pay homage with my friends. Guoen Temple was founded in 683 AD by Master Huineng, the sixth ancestor of Zen Buddhism. It is also the place where the master passed away.
The temple is built on the mountain. It still retains the architectural characteristics of the temples of the Tang Dynasty, and it has the style of Lingnan architecture due to its careful layout. The temple has a quiet environment and its incense has been burning almost uninterrupted for thousands of years. It is a good choice for worshiping Buddha and praying for blessings.
After worshiping Buddha, you must go to the top of the mountain for a walk. The mountains and clear waters are beautiful, suitable for basking in the sun, and the air is really good.
A comfortable journey cannot be complete without tasting the local specialties!
Let’s first talk about the breakfast bar of this hotel. It has both Chinese and Western dishes, which can satisfy the picky taste buds of the tongue.
The freshly made rice rolls and raw porridge in the restaurant are worth trying, they are nutritious and delicious.
You can find all kinds of Cantonese morning tea here.
Baiweiyuan·Chinese Restaurant mainly focuses on original and fresh emerging farm dishes, Yunfu regional specialties, and healthy and nutritious dishes. It adopts the strategy of coarse and fine cooking, pure natural seasoning, and mainly traditional Cantonese dishes. , Shunde cuisine and Hunan cuisine are supplemented.
Recommend a few special dishes that I think are good for reference

It is a good time in life when there is nothing to worry about.
If one day you feel tired and want to find a quiet place, you might as well come to the Zen Spring to understand the true meaning of meditation, to feel the realm of one flower, one world, one leaf, one bodhi, throw away Get rid of worldly worries and gain inner peace.
