What is Quyi music and what are its categories?

Quyi, also known as rap art, is a traditional China art based on folk singing literature, which integrates singing literature, music and performance.

classification:

1. Paizi Quzi

Quzi is used as the basic music material, or a single Quzi is repeatedly sung, or a number of Quzi are combined to tell stories.

2. Tanci

mainly spread in southern China. The singer also plays instruments such as Xiao Sanxian or Pipa, and plays and sings by himself. It is a popular genre since Ming and Qing Dynasties.

3. Drum music

is also called drum words or drum books. Mainly spread in northern China, but also in some southern provinces and cities. Drum music has a long history, which is related to the "Drum Ci" in Song Dynasty.

4. The piano and book category

is named after yangqin as the main accompaniment instrument.

5. Daoqing class

is named because it originated from Daoge (that is, Taoist tales of Daoqing). The origin can be traced back to the Taoist songs such as Jiuzhen and Chengtian in the Tang Dynasty. Because fishing drums and simple boards are often used as accompaniment instruments, they are also called fishing drums, bamboo harps or Taoist fishing drums.

Classification of art speaking and singing:

From the point of view of form, speaking and singing literature can be divided into three categories: one is simple literature, which only sings but doesn't talk, such as bamboo writing and quick writing. One kind uses prose completely, only talks but doesn't sing, such as storytelling.

One kind is the use of rhymes and prose alternately, with talking and singing, such as drum lyrics, paizi songs, tanci and baojuan. According to the historical development, rhyme and prosody are the mainstream, which can be pushed up to the Bianwen between the Tang and Five Dynasties, the script of the Song Dynasty and the Zhugong tune of the Jin and Yuan Dynasties.

Simple Prose and Simple Rhyme are derived from both Prose and Rhyme, which was probably most clearly shown in the Ming Dynasty, and both flourished in the Qing Dynasty.
