Mr. Lee excerpted from "Learning to Out of the Body in 30 Days" by Rick Stack on March 10, 2018.

Out of the Body is likely to be one of the most exciting adventures in your life. . If you make up your mind and never give up, you will succeed!

Just remember:

It's easy to leave the body!

Anyone can do it Get it!

All you really need is desire!

In some out-of-body experiences, you will find yourself in your bedroom, or another part of the current physical world. Everywhere. In other out-of-body experiences, you may find yourself in a different time or completely different dimension. Some out-of-body experiences begin in the current physical world and later move to other dimensions, or vice versa. With practice, your control and familiarity with your inner realm will improve.

There are many ways and means of out-of-body experiences, however, many of them are either vague or overly complicated. The method I am about to describe is, so far as I know, the simplest and easiest way to begin an out-of-body experience.

One of my favorite techniques I personally discovered accidentally in the early 1970s. At the time, I was experimenting with changing my sleep patterns. My approach is to sleep less at night and take a nap in the afternoon.

One day, I deliberately woke up at four in the morning after sleeping for four hours, and then got up to read. After about twenty minutes, I found myself too sleepy to keep my eyes open, but feeling very relaxed. It occurred to me that this near-sleep state would be the best time for me to try to get myself out of my body. So I slumped down in a comfortable easy chair and began to suggest to myself: "I'm going to have an out-of-body experience. I'm going to let myself fall asleep, but I'm going to take this waking consciousness with me wherever I go." ."

I repeated this suggestion for about a minute, and then I had the out-of-body experience I described in the preface. This was the first time I had consciously experienced an out-of-body experience while still in physical reality. This was also the first time that I was able to use my will to direct myself to return to my physical body and see my bedroom through my closed eyelids.

When I first used Technique 1, I was unfamiliar with the out-of-body literature. Years later, while browsing some books on out-of-body experiences, I discovered that someone had successfully achieved an out-of-body experience using a similar method. Tip 1 is a combination of the following factors:

I believe this unique combination of factors is effective for the following reasons: During the period of sleep before the out-of-body attempt, let Out-of-body experiences result in a state of energy and relaxation. Your body has recovered quite a bit, and so has your consciousness. Furthermore, because you have just slept - your consciousness still seems to be "close" to sleep. It's like inner and outer consciousness communicating continuously until you are fully awake. Because the sleep time before leaving the body is deliberately shortened, you will not be as groggy as if you slept for a long time. In addition, after sleeping for a long time, your muscles are usually too lazy to move, but no matter how you want to leave the body, muscle relaxation is an important element.

Trying to stay awake for a short period of time before leaving the body seems to have a stimulating effect on normal waking consciousness, but it does not make it completely awake and fixed in physical reality. By preparing in this way, you can "leapfrog" your awareness focused on normal physical reality into another dimension of experience.

My old teacher Seth once said that the time before dawn is the "high energy" time of the day. My personal experience just confirms the authenticity of this sentence. However, this does not mean that the above skills cannot be used at other times. The period before dawn is not a factor. It can only be said that it seems to be a particularly conducive time for communication between the internal and external world. So, if you want everything possible to go as planned, this might help.

As for the location of the out-of-body experience, it can be anywhere you think you can sleep comfortably and feel peaceful and quiet. My first out-of-body experience was in a comfortable chair. Everyone has their own preferences in this regard. The reason I think that chair works is because it gives me the feeling that a ritual is about to begin. Every time I sit on that chair, I expect an out-of-body experience. Some people may prefer to lie flat on their backs, while others may find it more effective to lean on them at an angle.

When using this technique, you will usually fall asleep and lose consciousness temporarily before exiting the body.

1. Plan to sleep for three and a half to four hours (no more than this limit), and then wake up one hour before dawn. Set your alarm according to this plan.

2. After waking up, get up and move around to wake yourself up for a while. For some people, waking up for just a few minutes is more effective; for others, half an hour is just fine. You might as well experiment, ranging from five minutes to half an hour, to see what time works best for you.

3. When you are awake, you may want to do something, but just remember: the key is to maintain a comfortable and relaxed mood.

You may want to read a book, listen to music, or do something else to keep you relaxed (by the way, if you want to read something, read something that will help you experience an out-of-body experience. As you can imagine, ghosts stories or horror novels are not wise choices).

4. After waking up for five to thirty minutes, find a comfortable position and prepare to go back to sleep - but this time, you must mentally expect your soul to leave the body.

5. Once everything is ready, immediately give yourself the following hints:

If everything goes according to plan, you will temporarily lose consciousness while sleeping and then find yourself awake. Come here and leave your body in physical reality or inner reality. However, another possibility is that you may find that you are not out of your body, but in a state that seems to be sleep but not sleep. Sleep-like sleep occurs just before falling asleep. In this state, although your body is no longer fully awake, you are not fully asleep either. You are somewhere in between awake and asleep. Once you learn to recognize this state, you can use it for out-of-body purposes as described in Tip 2.

Don’t be too serious! Have fun! Just relax and enjoy. You may want to set your alarm for thirty to forty-five minutes later in case you do fall asleep. After the alarm clock wakes you up, if you still want to, you can still try again. Don't let yourself give up easily. You may have to try many times before you get the results you want. Every time you finish, record the experience.

If you’re used to getting a full seven to eight hours of sleep, you may need a little discipline and determination to make Tip 1 work. However, this method is very effective and worth trying. If you don't want to drag yourself out of bed after only a few hours of sleep, you can try the simplified version below. Once you get started, any of these methods may work for you. However, until you have successfully had a few out-of-body experiences, I suggest you focus on the full version of Technique 1 mentioned above.

This technique puts the focus entirely on the state of being asleep but not asleep. The sleep-like state is an ideal springboard for the soul to leave the body. With technique 1, you first use suggestion and then allow yourself to lose consciousness as you fall asleep. When using technique 2, you do not completely let your consciousness fall asleep, only your physical body falls asleep. You can go into a trance-like state in your bedroom and then lift up and out of your body without losing consciousness of what is happening.

You can use technique 2 at any time before going to bed (you can use it together with technique 1. The method is to follow the first four steps of technique 1 first, and then use technique 2).

As mentioned before, I believe that in most lucid dreams, your consciousness has moved its base outside of your body. Finding yourself out of the body at this time seems to make your consciousness more or less transform into the state you achieved using techniques such as technique 2. You may actually find yourself in a dream with many similar imaginary elements, but once you realize you are out of body, you can transform the dream and project yourself wherever you want. Of course, you may not intend to change your dream state, because you may already be in a dimension of experience worth exploring.

Whenever you find yourself in a lucid dream, you can transform it into a conscious state by noticing that your physical body is sleeping on the bed and you are somewhere else. Out-of-body experience. Just tell yourself that you are out of body. Repeat a few times and continue with this awareness.

Being able to induce lucid dreams or out-of-body experiences while in the dreaming state is a function of many factors, including creating a favorable atmosphere of belief, paying attention to your dreams, and your desires and persist in. Once you start, you will expect to have an out-of-body experience while sleeping. In this way, you can begin to develop out-of-body habits. During the practice of guiding your soul to leave the body, you may find that your "serious" efforts are unsuccessful, and you inadvertently and naturally leave the body in a dreaming state. In fact, sometimes you can push too hard and interfere with yourself. So it's a good idea to stay relaxed and have a playful attitude about the whole thing.

Probably the most common way to become aware that you are dreaming is to notice that something very strange is happening. For example, you find yourself at work but your desk is on the roof, or you are in your apartment but the color of the walls has changed. The variations on these clues are endless. The goal is to try to create a mental situation in which you are very aware that you want to notice these weird things as soon as they happen.

When you are in bed and about to fall asleep, tell yourself that you will notice something strange in your dreams and realize that you are dreaming. Then go on to imagine a simple scenario. For example, see yourself walking around your home. Suddenly, you notice that the furniture has all changed. Then imagine yourself in a dream. Then imagine yourself saying out loud in your dream, "I'm dreaming! I'm in a dream! I'm out of body!" Repeat this several times. As you speak, imagine yourself becoming more aware...

Then, let yourself fall asleep.

I believe that in most of the flying dreams, you have already been out of the body, but you may not know it.

Lucid dreamers often say that flying dreams remind them that they are in a dream state. The flying dream guidance technique is actually a variation of technique 3. Being able to fly without any visible assistance is obviously weird enough to stimulate the inner awakening of many people.

Before you fall asleep, tell yourself that you will be flying in your dreams and know that you are out of body. Then, imagine a situation specifically. Picture yourself flying happily over mountains and green valleys, or wherever you want to go. Imagine you are flying and suddenly realize that you must be dreaming. This awareness will make your consciousness clearer and your ability to fly stronger. You have much better control now than before. Imagine telling yourself out loud that you are out of body, while still flying effortlessly. Then, with the expectation of having a good time, let yourself fall asleep.

A variation on the theme of identifying weird scenes is to do so during a false awakening. The so-called false awakening means that you are actually still sleeping, but dream that you are awake. You may even dream of getting up and writing down what you saw in your dream. This phenomenon may start to happen when you first start working with your dreams. Since your false awakening background (your home) is a familiar location to you, this is a good time to notice strange objects or situations that appear frequently and realize that you must be dreaming. You can "upgrade" your state of consciousness by telling yourself that you are out of body.

As soon as you realize that you are out of body and in a certain "dream" dimension, it's time to have some fun. One place you can go is to return to your physical body and experience an out-of-body experience. Deliberately returning from the inner world to your physical body and then floating out of your body in bed will really surprise you! This technique is practical and exciting, but it is only one of the options you have. You may not want to return to the physical world yet, but would rather explore your inner reality. In Chapter 11 we have some hints of this.

This technique is incredibly simple. After you have upgraded your lucid dreaming by discovering that you were out of the body, continue to tell yourself that you have been out of the body a few times in order to strengthen the focus and avoid slipping back into the lucid dreaming or normal dreaming state. Then tell yourself - you will return to the physical body but will not wake up. Just hint to yourself in this way and use your mind to call yourself back to the physical body. If you want, you can also imagine your physical body as you suggest yourself.

If you successfully return to your body but do not wake up, you should be in a sleep-like state similar to the one mentioned earlier. However, for all practical purposes, your body has been sleeping for a while, so this state and the transitional state may not be the same. Although you may be back in your physical body, you may feel disconnected or out of phase with your physical body. You may feel as if you are floating around in your body. If you want to wake up, you can use cues to wake yourself up. However, if you want to leave your body, this is a very favorable time. Just use your thoughts to direct yourself to float out of the room. With practice, you will get the hang of controlling your movements. Once you learn to use your inner muscles, you will feel it. It is not difficult.

Carl was a student in one of my five-week courses on out-of-body experiences and dreams. The following is his description of an out-of-body experience he used this technique to induce:

Of course, some people will say that Carl used his mind to direct himself to return to the physical body, and saw the hands of the spirit body through the eyelids of the physical body. It's just a dream. However, it would take some effort for them to convince Karl. After a period of practice, you should be able to feel the difference between the physical body and the phantom. If you want to find out for yourself, you might want to design your own out-of-body vision experiment. We'll talk about this in the next chapter.

Over the years, many other methods of guiding souls out of the body have been proposed. I’ll talk about some more, but generally speaking, I think the techniques we mentioned earlier are both the simplest and most effective. I recommend focusing on these techniques at first, unless something else particularly appeals to you.

There are several audiobooks on the market that use hypnosis to guide souls out of the body. First hypnotize the target,

and then suggest him to leave the body or imagine himself leaving the body. You can try this technique, or make a custom tape of yourself

. I will skip self-hypnosis here, but if you are interested, you can find information on this topic in bookstores.

Some people can use their thoughts to guide themselves out of the body as long as they relax. There are many ways to enter a state of relaxation, some of which you may already know because they are quite well known. Before you allow yourself to enter a state of relaxation, suggest to yourself that you will leave your body. Then, after entering a relaxed state, try to use your mind to guide yourself out of the body, or imagine yourself leaving the body.

Progressive muscle relaxation is an excellent relaxation technique that consists of alternating tightening and relaxing movements of different muscles in the body. To begin, tense your toes for a few seconds, then relax. Then move to the entire foot, then up the calf and thigh, one area at a time, until all muscles in the body are alternately tense and relaxed.

A variation of this technique is to focus your attention on each part of the body and deliberately relax the muscles in that area. Continue until every part of your body is relaxed. Once you are in a relaxed state, then try to leave your body, or imagine that you have left your body in another location.

You can also use meditation techniques or regular breathing exercises to enter a relaxed state. Using these techniques before bed can also help you get into a sleep-like state. A student at my most recent out-of-body workshop combined some of the above methods with very good results. After lying down, he mentally counted down from twenty to one, relaxing a part of his body every time he counted. Then, he used breathing techniques to make himself more relaxed. He first takes a breath, holds it and counts to ten, then counts from one to ten, and at the same time exhales a little bit at a time (this is quite similar to some yoga breathing methods). He repeated this sequence several times until his body felt numb. At this time, he will be able to leave the body. He said that he had successfully used this method to leave his body many times, especially when he was tired and not sleepy.

It goes without saying (but I’m going to say it anyway) that the various techniques presented in this chapter may not necessarily work the first time you try them. For most people, learning to guide an out-of-body experience is a new skill.

Just like learning any new skill, you have to practice to get results. However, it is really not that difficult to fly near home out of the body. Overall, cultivating such ability is easier than learning to play tennis, but it is easier than learning "Pachisi" (Annotation: parcheesi is changed from the Indian pachisi game)

Comes from, a twenty-five point table game played with one or two stocks) difficult. Once you find yourself out of your body in a fully conscious state, the possibilities for learning and adventure are endless.
