If your phone automatically plays music or sounds, you can troubleshoot the operation through the following methods:
1. Check whether the music player is open
If the music player Is in the open state:
(1) After inserting Huawei original headphones, the phone automatically plays music. This is the function of the Huawei Music app itself. If you don’t want to play music, you can close the Huawei Music app in the recent taskbar.
(2) It may be that you accidentally pressed the buttons of the wired headset and Bluetooth headset. You can solve the problem by turning off the app's remote control feature.
Take Huawei Music as an example: Go to Huawei Music > My > Settings and turn off the support for wired headphone/Bluetooth control playback switch.
(3) It may be that you have mistakenly operated the desktop music icon, etc. It is recommended that you manually close apps that automatically play music.
2. Check the system default notification ringtone
If the default notification ringtone is set to music, the music will be played when the phone receives notification messages, making you mistakenly think that the music plays automatically.
EMUI 11.0 and below: Go to Settings > Sound/Sound Vibration > Default notification ringtone, click to listen to the selected ringtone to confirm whether it is the automatically played ringtone you hear. If so, you can choose system ringtone or no ringtone.
HarmonyOS 2.0: Go to Settings > Sound and vibration, click to listen to the selected ringtones such as incoming call ringtones, message ringtones, notification ringtones, etc. to confirm whether it is the automatically played ringtone you heard. If so, you can choose system ringtone or no ringtone.
3. Check the application notification ringtone
If an individual application plays music when notifying messages, it may be that the application has set a separate notification ringtone.
You can enter the settings of the app to confirm whether it is the automatically played ringtone you hear. If so, it is recommended that you adjust the ringtone to silent notification.
(1) Separately set the method to turn off the application’s allowed notification permission:
EMUI 11.0 and below: First clear the notifications in the drop-down notification bar, and then when you encounter this problem again , pull down the notification bar, swipe left or right slightly on the newly appeared app notification, click to enter when the gear icon appears, turn off the app's allow notification switch or select no ringtone.
HarmonyOS 2.0: You can directly choose to close the notification or set it to silent notification in the pop-up window after clicking the gear icon after swiping left or right on the application notification on the notification bar.
(2) Method to turn off the allowed notification permission of the application in batch setting:
EMUI 11.0 and below: Enter the phone settings, enter the notification/notification center, click to enter batch management, and turn off all switch, and then enable the app's Allow Notifications switch as needed.
Warm reminder: Some models do not have all switches, so you need to manually set the notification switch of the application individually.
4. Check whether the Smart Life App has set up scenes such as scheduled playback of music, weather, news, etc.
If you have set up a scene to automatically play music/weather/news in the Smart Life App, Music or sound will automatically play under trigger conditions. Please open Smart Life > Scenes to check the scene settings. If you no longer need the scene, you can close the scene or long press the scene card and click Delete to delete the scene.
5. Check whether the relevant scene is set in the smart assistant
Please check whether it is set in Settings > Smart Assistant > Smart Voice > AI Lab > Scene Linkage > My Scene If you no longer need the scene, you can close the scene or long press the scene card and click Delete to delete the scene.
6. Check whether Private Space/Multi-User is turned on
If you do not receive any notification when your phone automatically plays music, it may be that you have turned on Private Space/Multi-User. When some third-party apps in Private Space/Multi-User receive a message, you can also hear the message notification sound in the Main Space.
Please switch to Private Space/Multi-User to check. The confirmation method is as follows:
Privacy Space: Enter settings, search to enter Private Space, and check whether a Private Space has been created (it displays Enter It indicates that it has been created, and it shows that the opening indication has not been created). If so, please enter and check.
Multi-user: Enter settings, search for multi-user/user, and check if there are other users. If so, please enter and check.
7. Restart the device
It is recommended that you try restarting your phone. Restarting the phone can close some applications that started abnormally and restore the phone to normal operation.
If your problem still cannot be solved, please back up your data in advance (third-party applications such as QQ and WeChat need to be backed up separately), and bring your purchase receipt to the Huawei Customer Service Center for testing.
