Liu Beimao (1903- 198 1 year), alias Shou Ci, was born in Jiangyin, Jiangsu Province, and was a famous modern erhu player, composer and educator. The son of Liu Baoshan, a scholar in the late Qing Dynasty, was brothers with Liu Bannong, a poet, and Liu Tianhua, a musician. Liu Beimao is a faithful successor and developer of the cause of Liu Tianhua. After Liu Tianhua's death, he inherited his brother's legacy of "improving China's music" and successively created more than 0/00 erhu performance tracks such as Hanjiang Tide, Little Flower Drum and Liu Fang Qu. He is a prolific composer in the history of modern music in China, and is known as "the master of national music".

Liu Beimao has a good memory and strong imitation. He studied English in a missionary school in primary school and became a famous linguist with Lv Shuxiang.
