The International Academy for Performing Arts of Sichuan Conservatory of Music was established with the approval of the national education department in 1998, and it has a second-level college for professional film and television arts with the goal of cultivating international performing talents. There are nearly two thousand students in school. From the very beginning, the college attached great importance to scientific professional configuration, advanced teaching management and strong combination of teachers. It offers eleven professional directions, which are in line with international standards, such as film and television performance, broadcasting and hosting, literary news, film and television dubbing, film and television computer animation design, film and television production and management, film and television director, film and television cosmetic modeling design, film and television art, film and television series, and nonlinear editing and stunt synthesis. It is one of the four secondary colleges of Sichuan Conservatory of Music, together with the Popular Conservatory of Sichuan Conservatory of Music, Chengdu Academy of Fine Arts of Sichuan Conservatory of Music and Mianyang Art College of Sichuan Conservatory of Music.
