This is a new piece specially composed by Ikimono Gakari's Yamashita Mizuno for this drama version. The last time Ikimono Gakari provided an animated song was "The Light of Fireflies" three years ago. This is not only the first theme song created by the group for Japanese animated films, but also the first time that the songs produced by member Yamashita Hotaka have cooperated with animation in business.
Yoshioka Kiyoe, the lead singer, said: "This is a song that has both tender and ethereal parts and can give people strength." You can see your confidence from this song.
Detective Conan is not a song sung by a singer of Being Records (Ikimono Gakari's record company is Epic Records Japan Inc), but it is the second time after 1 the theme song Happy Birthday of Exploding Skyscrapers, and 1997. Conan's theatrical version has been sung by singers belonging to Being for 14 years since the second "Fourteenth Goal" of the theatrical version.
The theme of Song of Spring is "Meeting and Parting in Spring". Because of the word "forward" in the title of the above-mentioned film, the producer asked Ikimono Gakari to make a medium-sized song instead of lyrics. According to Yamashita Hotaka, he tried not to be too far away from the film or too close, and wrote this song in Ikimono Gakari's style. In the stage of making a sample record, the rhythm of this song is much slower than that of the finished product. Yoshioka Kiyoe, the lead singer, described "Song of Spring" as a folk song at that time. Later, he changed this song into a movie, which further strengthened the rock color of this song. In addition, the lyrics "ぃつからになるそしててぇる" (one day we will become adults and then we can meet) are actually Ke.
On March 27th, a promotional video (PV) was filmed in the building of Shaping University in Tokyo. In PV, members and supporting musicians were filmed playing "Song of Spring" together on the set.
