Bonnie was born on February 24, 1974 in Brooklyn, New York. She started singing and performing when she was very young. She was accepted into Boston College's music and opera program and completed her studies before continuing her studies at the Lee Strasberg Institute of Dramatic Arts in New York. At the age of 17, she was lucky enough to attend the New York City Music Festival and perform live performances with many bands, where she was discovered by a talent scout and embarked on a short-lived modeling career.
