A Brief Introduction to the Film "The Sound of Music" in English (150 words or less)
The film was a success in all aspects. Every aspect, from photography to performance, scenery to costumes, music, dance and scripts, is first-class. Although the film is family-friendly and has a sweet story, the way people attack it is saccharin and sugary is surprising. Of course, this can be said to be a stage play, but the film version is carefully produced to provide a more comprehensive vision. Ernest Lehman has created a miracle with underdeveloped and unremarkable dialogue. He inserted many witty, humorous, romantic and bitter moments that could not be seen in the original. Production designer purposefully chose a soft background and colors. Every actor tried his best to give a wonderful performance. Andrews has gone down in history because of his lifetime performance (and his matching voice), but plummer will not be forgotten. Not only was he noble and handsome, but he decided to play a complicated, sophisticated and slightly ironic captain, which was a great decision. His steely and stern character was finally greatly melted by the uncontrollable Andrews. Every supporting actor's performance has the attraction, humor or threat required in the script. However, the person who took the cake ... always surprisingly, the slim, cunning and charming Parker played Baroness Schroeder. Wisely, her songs were cut, further separating her from all the joys around her, so that she could say things like "Why didn't you tell me ... to bring my harmonica?" Or when she was told that Andrews might not be a great nun, "If you need anything, I'm happy to help you." Compared with the stage, this role is given a more perfect and complete position in the film. In fact, every dialogue of her (unlike in the play) is a joke. Although Wood's role as the abbess is cute, Parker deserves an Oscar nomination ... and wins! Every expression, every syllable and every look concealed Parker's decades of experience as a heroine in the 1940s and 1950s. Her clothes designed by Dorothy Jeakins are awesome. This type of film production no longer exists. Location photography, simplicity of story and design, all of which are pure goodwill ... they can't go on like this. Thankfully, when a person just wants to feel good, he can turn to this flawless gem. But saccharin? No ..... Compared with other popular musicals, this musical has fancy colors and sweet storylines (Seven Brides ..., "Singing in the Rain" ... Molly Brown, musician, etc ...). They are all very pleasant, but hardly sweeter than this! Just one word ... Nazi! ! Although almost everyone knows the result, there is still real suspense in the climax of The Sound of Music. This movie has everything.
