3. Open the tuning box on the head of the zither, and you can see that there are many metal nails used to wind and fix the strings - 21 in total. Turn the metal nails to adjust the strings. Tightness, the tighter the string, the higher the pitch, and vice versa.

How to adjust the guzheng A key:

You can convert the D key into the A key. Generally, you only need to lower all the do sounds in the D key syllable by a semitone to form an A key syllable. Just move the 21st, 16th, 11th, 6th, and 1st numbers toward Houyueshan. After moving, all the green strings are do, and the corresponding note names and the scale arrangement are:
