1, Central Conservatory of Music

The Central Conservatory of Music, located in the capital, is an institution of higher learning directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). It is the only national key university and "2 1 1 Engineering" construction institution among the national art institutions, the first batch of "double-first-class" world-class discipline construction institutions in China, and the national postgraduate training program of high-level universities.

2. China Conservatory of Music

China Conservatory of Music, located in Beijing, is a music institution of higher learning with the unique characteristics of China's music education and research, which is based on Chinese studies, and trains high-level professionals engaged in the research, creation, performance and education of China's music theory. It is the first batch of "double first-class" world-class discipline construction universities in China, and is known as "the cradle of China musicians" and "the temple of China music".

3. Sichuan Conservatory of Music

Sichuan Conservatory of Music, called "Chuanyin" for short, is located in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. It is a provincial full-time ordinary undergraduate college with "music" as its main feature. It is one of the nine independent professional music colleges in China, with the right to award master's degrees, and the first batch of MFA professional degree awarding units approved by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee.

4. Wuhan Conservatory of Music

Wuhan Conservatory of Music, located in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, is one of the nine independent conservatories in China, the only independent higher music institution in Central China, a master's degree awarding unit, and the first batch of MFA professional degree education pilot units in China.

Wuhan Conservatory of Music, formerly known as Central South Conservatory of Music, was founded on 1953 by the Music Department of Central South College of Literature and Art, South China People's College of Literature and Art and Guangxi Academy of Arts. 1958, Central South Conservatory of Music and Wuhan Art Teachers College merged to form Hubei Art College; 1972- 1978, the name of the school is "Hubei Art Institute"; 1985, the school was renamed Wuhan Conservatory of Music.

5. Shanghai Conservatory of Music

Shanghai Conservatory of Music, referred to as Shangyin for short, is a full-time higher professional music (art) institution jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. It is one of the first batch of national "double-first-class" world-class discipline construction universities, and has been selected into the national graduate program of high-level universities, the national key discipline program, the scholarship receiving institution for overseas students in China, and the foreign students in Shanghai.
