This is a quite audible album. The addition of violin adds a lot of color to Yani's music. Since then, Yani's album has been produced independently by herself. Felicia (Yani's mother's name) and In the Mirror are two songs that I like very much. This album was nominated by Grammy for Best New Age Album in 1993.

1997- Yani's Yani in the Forbidden City is the most wonderful one of Yani's albums. Since then, Yani's music has completely bid farewell to the "advertising music" period. It includes nine new works and two old works adapted from the Indian Taj Mahal and China Forbidden City concerts. The whole album is full of passion and stirring people's hearts. Except for 7/8 waltzes, the first capital in 9 new works is extraordinary. The orchestra's performance, singer's singing and musicians' solos are integrated, and Yani's music has never been so colorful, especially the singing of Al Freda Gerald and Wan Johnson and Pedro Justa's playing of various flutes and saxophones, which has added unprecedented highlights to Yani's music. Compared with the Acropolis Concert, the solo of the orchestra and musicians in this album is more natural, and the melody is no longer "relatively single" as before, and some places are wonderful. In a word, Yani's music is mature and free and easy here, but it's a pity that Yani's own performance has been covered up by many musicians, which is nothing new.

Yani was the first western musician who was approved by China government to perform in the Forbidden City.

The magnificent live performance scene must be still fresh in my friends' memory. 1997 released an album called "Salute to the Forbidden City" at the end of this year. This album contains the wonderful tracks performed by Yani 1997 in the Forbidden City in China in May. They are full of passion and will naturally bring the audience to the local area and immerse you in it. The passion, romance and charm of this modern musician, who was twice nominated for platinum and Grammy awards, made many experts think that the overall strength of this album is better than his early masterpiece "The Acropolis Concert Live".
