Song, director of the Fujian Provincial Department of Culture, said that according to the Regulations on the Protection of Ethnic and Folk Cultures in Fujian Province and the Planning Outline of Minnan Cultural and Ecological Protection Experimental Zone, Fujian has issued a draft plan for the construction of demonstration sites and demonstration parks in Minnan Cultural and Ecological Protection Experimental Zone. With the discussion during the first ICIF, relevant policies such as support and financial subsidies will be further clarified.
Among the first batch of 30 demonstration sites and parks in Minnan cultural and ecological protection experimental zone, Quanzhou has Liyuan Opera, Puppet Show, Jinjiang Puppet Show, Gaojia Opera, Quanzhou Beiguan, Quanzhou Nanyin, Xunpu Female Custom, Minnan Folk Music and Dance, Dragon Boat Festival Custom, Du Jiang 10 Demonstration Site, Quanzhou Ancient City, Anxi County Tea Culture and Dehua County Porcelain Culture. There are six demonstration sites in Xiamen, namely Emperor Shao Qingbaosheng's culture, lacquer line carving skills, Nanyin, Gaojia Opera, Taiwanese Opera and Lotus Song, and Gulangyu Cultural Protection Demonstration Park. There are 9 demonstration sites in Zhangzhou, including Xiangzi Opera, Bag Puppet Opera, Zhangpu Folk Paper-cutting Art, Baosheng Emperor Believing in Custom, Zhangzhou Jinguo, Zhang Kai Culture, Sanpingzu Believing in Custom, Changjiao Ancient Village Culture, Dida Tulou Group and Dongshan Guandi Cultural Protection Demonstration Park.

The relevant person in charge of the Provincial Department of Culture expressed the hope that all protection units of the demonstration project will actively absorb the experience of the first batch of demonstration sites (demonstration parks) on the basis of the existing work and in accordance with the requirements of "protection first, rescue first, rational utilization, and inheritance and development", further explore the practice, strive to make positive progress and valuable experience in the construction of Minnan cultural and ecological protection zone, and provide useful experience for promoting the cultural and ecological protection, construction and intangible cultural heritage protection of the whole province.
