Waiting for the lights to dance music
This song is "Overture to the Journey to the West", written by Xu Jingqing. It is the opening song of the 1986 version of Journey to the West TV series, which was released on September 25th.

The songs appeared in the form of instrumental music, skillfully using electronic drums, vividly showing the Monkey King's dashing and heroic spirit, making the finishing point, and opening a precedent for the combination of electroacoustic, orchestra and folk music in TV soundtrack. This song is like the power of the Monkey King's golden hoop, or the indomitable spirit of Tang Priest.

Creation background

1985 Spring Festival, the crew received news that CCTV will broadcast the filming part of Journey to the West during 1986 Spring Festival. Before the broadcast, Yang Jie asked Xu Jingqing to take away the opening song of The Journey to the West composed by another composer and write a song of 2 minutes and 40 seconds. This song, which was later called "Yin Xun in the Cloud Palace" by netizens, made Xu Jingqing struggle.

Xu Jingqing is used to writing at night and getting up at noon. One day, after getting up at noon, I was in a daze in bed, just as several migrant workers passed by the window, banging on lunch boxes and humming a little song. Xu Jingqing, like an awakened person, was born from the tune of migrant workers and brewed a classic Deng Deng Deng.
