Xiamen Experimental Middle School’s Autumn Primary School Peking Opera Class

In order to further implement the relevant spirit of the central government, vigorously promote the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation, realize the introduction of Peking Opera art to the campus of Xiamen Experimental Middle School, inherit and promote Peking Opera Culture, let the teachers and students of the school widely accept the influence of excellent traditional culture, make Peking Opera culture an important part of the school culture and school spirit of our school, and realize the school running goal of "modernization, experimental, demonstration and internationalization" of our school as soon as possible. After research by the school and approval by the Municipal Education Bureau, it was decided to recruit a Peking Opera class for elementary schools.

In order to ensure that the admissions process for Peking Opera classes is fair, just and open, this admissions plan is specially formulated.

2. Enrollment grades (number of places) and registration conditions

1. Primary school 1 Each grade enrolls one class (no more than 25 students)

It is open to the whole city and recruits school-age children with household registration in this city or children of migrant workers (school-age children) who meet the points-based admission requirements. They can sign up voluntarily and the school can Accommodation provided.

(Note: Born between September 1, 2009 and August 31, 2010)

2. Primary school students from second to sixth grade

For the whole city , primary school students in public schools in grades two to six who have certain musical literacy. Registration is voluntary and the school can provide accommodation.

3. Registration Instructions

First grade of primary school:

Parents should register at the specified place and time and fill in the "Xiamen Experimental Middle School Primary School Admission Application Form".

Parents or guardians are requested to provide the following materials:

(1) Household registration certificate, which refers to the original and copy of the city’s household registration book for the school-age child and his/her parents;

(2) Original and copy of vaccination card;

(3) Original and copy of birth medical certificate;

(4) "Departure from Kindergarten" Handbook" or other originals and copies of materials that can prove that you have received preschool education;

Second to sixth grade of primary school:

Parents register at the specified place and time and fill out the "Xiamen Experiment Application Form for Admission to Secondary and Primary Schools.

(1) Household registration certificate, which refers to the original and copy of the city’s household registration book for school-age children and their parents who have the same household registration;

(2) Copy of student registration card ( Stamped with the official seal of the original school)

Location: Xiamen Experimental Middle School, No. 6666 Binhai West Avenue, Xiamen

Time: July 6, 8:30-11:30 am; 3:00 pm 00-5:30.

4. Interview (100 points)

The school will review the qualifications of the applicants. Those who meet the requirements will participate in the interview organized by our school.

1. Self-introduction and personal talent display (50 points)

Candidates will introduce themselves for 1-2 minutes; personal talent display; judges will conduct brief questions and answers to the candidates. The judges will score the candidates' external image, personal talents, comprehensive qualities, etc.

2. Vocal Singing (50 points)

Candidates can choose a song or opera (Peking Opera, Nanyin, etc.) to sing a cappella.

5. Admissions Method

Determine the list of candidates to be admitted based on the total score of the interview in descending order. After no objection is announced, the list will be submitted to the municipal and district education bureau for approval and admission. Students who have been admitted to our school are not allowed to give up their admission for any reason.

6. Time Arrangement

1. Report to our school at 7:45 am on July 9th to participate in the interview. The interview time is 8:00-12:00 in the morning and 3:00-5:00 in the afternoon;

2. The list of proposed admissions will be announced before July 25th. After the list of proposed admissions has been announced and there is no objection, the applicant can apply according to relevant requirements. The Municipal Education Bureau will review and approve the admission.

6. Supervision Methods

The entire process of admissions interview and admission is subject to the supervision of the Municipal Education Bureau’s Discipline Inspection and Supervision Department, candidates, parents and all walks of life.
