From 65438 to 0956, the Music Department and Fine Arts Department of Beijing Normal University, the Music Department of Northeast Normal University and the Music Department of East China Normal University merged to form Beijing Art Teachers College. The school is located at Li Guang Qiaonan Street 1 (Qianhai West Street 17).

1960 Beijing Institute of Art was established, which is under the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture. In the same place as Beijing Art Teachers College, the same leading group.

196 1 At the end of the year, Beijing Teachers College of Art merged with Beijing Institute of Art, called Beijing Institute of Art, and was headed by Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture.

September 2 1964, 2 1 According to Comrade Zhou Enlai's initiative and his instructions to the Ministry of Culture on the establishment of China Conservatory of Music and China Dance Academy, the Ministry of Culture selected a group of national music experts from all over the country to establish China Conservatory of Music on the basis of the former Music Department of Beijing Academy of Arts, the national music major of Central Conservatory of Music and China Conservatory of Music. This school is directly under the Ministry of Culture.

1969 The whole hospital was sent to work in Tianjin Junliangcheng.

1973, the China Conservatory of Music and the Central Conservatory of Music merged to form the Conservatory of Music of the Central May 7th Art Institute.

1978, the Conservatory of Music of the Central May 7th Art College was renamed as the Central Conservatory of Music.

1980 In May, the Ministry of Culture's request for instructions on restoring the China Conservatory of Music was approved by the State Council, and the China Conservatory of Music was restored. The school building is still located in the former site of Haixi Street 17.

1987, and gradually moved to the new campus near Jianxiang Bridge.
