There are six departments (departments) under the Conservatory of Music, namely, the Department of Theory, the Department of Vocal Music, the Department of Instrumental Music, the Department of Dance, the Department of Music Education and the Department of Basic Education. It also has a music research and development center, a digital music production center and an art practice center. It has professional multimedia classrooms, electric piano classrooms, multi-functional rehearsal halls, piano rooms and other first-class teaching facilities and equipment.
At present, there are two majors in musicology and dance, and seven professional directions, including instrumental performance, vocal performance, musicology theory, music education, musical instrument repair, pop music and dance performance, to cultivate professionals with reasonable knowledge structure, master the basic theory, knowledge and skills of music, and be able to perform, teach, research and edit in professional literary and art groups, art colleges and relevant departments and institutions. Awarded a bachelor of arts degree. The college attaches great importance to teaching quality. According to the characteristics of musicology major and the goal of talent training, by strengthening practical teaching, a practical teaching system with artistic practice, teaching practice and social practice as the main body is formed, and a strict teaching quality monitoring system is formulated to ensure the overall improvement of teaching quality. In order to expand students' employment channels and enrich their professional knowledge, musicology has been approved to recruit students according to normal majors, and relevant courses are offered for students to choose from. It mainly offers courses such as performance (vocal music, keyboard, instrumental music), music theory, solfeggio, harmony, analysis of musical forms and works, orchestration, polyphony, composition, music teaching method, Chinese and foreign music history, ethnomusicology, China traditional music, ensemble (chamber music), ensemble (chorus), and physique.
