Gannan Normal University, located in zhanggong district, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is a provincial undergraduate university with the right to confer master's degrees. The evaluation expert group of the Ministry of Education evaluated the school's "teaching quality and school-running strength are in the forefront of similar local normal universities".

The school was founded in June 1958, when it was Gannan Normal University. 1959, changed to Gannan Normal University to recruit undergraduates. 1964 was restored to Gannan Normal University. Since then, the name of the school has changed many times. 1984 was restored to Gannan Normal University.

Gannan Teachers College is mainly located in the Golden Campus and Zhanggong Campus, covering an area of about 2,000 mu, with a school building area of nearly 700,000 square meters, a total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment of 65.438+0.6 billion yuan, and a library of more than 2.08 million books. There are 19 teaching colleges, 1 independent colleges and 68 undergraduate majors.
