The Central Conservatory of Music, or Yin Zhong for short, is located in Beijing, the capital of China. Founded in 1949, the college is an institution of higher learning that trains senior specialized music talents. Directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), it is the only "2 1 1 project" key construction university among national art colleges.

Since its establishment, the College has established a strong faculty and teaching management team, emerged a group of experts and scholars with outstanding contributions in teaching and scientific research, attracted a large number of talented young musicians at home and abroad to study in the College, and trained tens of thousands of outstanding musicians and hundreds of foreign students, most of whom became famous composers, musicians, music educators, musicians and cultural and artistic institutions at home and abroad.
