Five legends about the fire god Zhurong

The legendary mythical ancient emperor Zhu Rong was called the Red Emperor by fire, and later generations respectfully called him the God of Fire. Some people say that Zhu Rong is one of the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors and Huang San in ancient times. He lives in the Guangming Palace in Kunlun Mountain, inherits fire, and teaches humans how to use fire. When talking about the establishment of the Nanhai Temple, people will naturally ask about the name of the Nanhai God. The god of the South China Sea is called Zhu Rong, and some historical books call him Zhu Chi, which is the abbreviation of Zhu Rong and Chi Di. In fact, Zhu Rong and Chidi are the same person. Zhu Rong was originally a fire god. If a fire breaks out today, people still think Zhu Rong is coming. Who is Zhu Rong? How did he combine water and fire into one god? There are many legends here.

Legend 1: Zhu Rong was the emperor of China. He uses fire to create chemistry, and his name is Red Emperor. According to legend, Zhu Rong was still a musician. He often plays melodious and moving music in the mountains, which makes the Li people full of energy and love life. After Zhu Rong died, he was buried under the sunshine of Hengshan Mountain in Nanyue. In order to commemorate him, later generations called the highest peak of Nanyue Zhurong Peak.

Legend 2: During the reign of Emperor Ku in ancient times, there was a man named Chongli, the son of Zhuan Xu. His official position was Huozheng, that is, Huozheng. Li is loyal to his duties and strives to serve the Li people. When Di Ku became a firefighter, he was awarded the title of Zhu Rong. Hope means lasting forever, and melting is a symbol of light. That is to say, I hope Chongli will continue to illuminate the earth with fire and bring light to people forever. After Zhu Rong's death, he was buried at the south peak of Shun Temple in Hengshan Mountain, Nanyue, and now lives under Zhu Rong Peak.

Legend 3: In the Huangdi era, Huangdi was touring the south and could not tell the direction, so he called Zhu Rong Biannan. In other words, Nanyue in Hengyang was first distinguished by Zhu Rong, so he occupied the position of Situ. Later, Zhu Rong was granted the title of Chu State and became the ancestor of the Chu people. There is also a Zhurong Temple on the top of Zhurong Peak in Nanyue, Hengyang. There is a stone railing on the rock behind the temple, and you can enjoy the scenery of Beishan. How could this Vulcan, the ancestor of the Chu people, Zhu Rong, play Poseidon at the same time? According to the ancients, the south belongs to fire, fire is a symbol of light, and the root of fire lies in water. Therefore, I hope that water and fire will be combined into one, which is consistent with the divination of King Wen of Zhou Dynasty, that is, water belongs to fire and is located in the south.

Legend 4: During the period of Emperor Yao, floods occurred, and the people of Li lived in dire straits. Yao Di ordered the use of guns to control the flood, but nine years later, it yielded no results. Later, I learned that there is a treasure called interesting soil in the sky. If I throw a little bit into the soil, it will soon grow up and pile up into mountains and dams, so I tried to steal the interesting soil from the sky and give it to the world. Use it to block the flood, and the earth can finally see the flood. However, the Emperor of Heaven knew that Benefit's soil had been stolen, so he sent Zhu Rong, the god of fire, to kill the shrew in Yushan and take back the rest of Benefit's soil. The Emperor of Heaven also ordered Zhu Rong to supervise the water management of the world and ordered him to be responsible for the water side. Because Zhu Rong is the god of the south, he is the god of the South China Sea.

Legend 5: The North Water King fought with the Fire God Zhu Rong and was killed by Zhu Rong's real fire. From then on, Zhu Rong became the god of water and fire.
