Computer music:
CSIRAC is the first computer to play music, and it was publicly played as early as August 195 1. The first large-scale public display of computer music was in February 1962, when a pre-recorded radio program was broadcast on NBC's national program Surveillance.
196 1 year, Rafa Stuart used the CYCLONE computer of Iowa State University (a derivative of ILLIAC) to write a program to play simple and recognizable melodies through the speakers connected to the system, which was originally used for management and diagnosis purposes. When interviewing Mr Stewart, his computer music was playing.
The development of mainframe synthesizers can also be seen in the late 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. From 1957, Max Matthews of Bell Laboratories developed the MUSIC program, and finally reached MUSIC V, which is a direct digital synthesizer language.
