Can I take a shower in the dormitory of Xindu Campus of Sichuan Conservatory of Music?

The dormitories at Xindu Campus of Sichuan Conservatory of Music have independent bathrooms, but there are no water heaters installed and no piped hot water supply.

To take a bath, you need to go to the school bathhouse. The bathhouse is on the side of the cafeteria building. You can swipe your campus card (meal card). The bathhouse is open from 6 pm to 8 pm during the week and is open all day on weekends. There are partition walls in the bathhouse, so you can't see the people next to you, and there are curtains that can be pulled down, but your body outline may be seen by people across from you. Shy students can use a thermos bottle to get hot water and go back to the dormitory bathroom to take a shower.

When the temperature is low in winter, you can go downstairs to get hot water (3 cents/warm bottle) to wash your hair, face, etc. It is best to get hot water during the day, as there are more people queuing up to get water at night.

There are also bathhouses outside the school where you can take a bath. If you rent a house off-campus, you need to go through the day-study procedures, which is troublesome to apply for. Applications can usually only be made in the one or two months at the end of the year, and applications are accepted at other times. Freshmen are generally not allowed to apply to live off-campus, starting from their sophomore year. Only then.

Bedrooms of the School of Fine Arts, Department of Digital Art, and Department of Fashion at Sichuan Yin Xindu Campus (located in dormitories 11, 12, 13, 15, and 16 east of the back door of the cafeteria)

A room for 6 people, all with beds and tables, private bathrooms and balconies.

Except for the above three departments, the dormitories of other departments are located to the west of the main entrance of the cafeteria, and they all sleep for 6 people. But only 2 are for upper and lower beds, and the remaining 2 are for upper and lower beds. There are also separate bathrooms and balconies.

Each dormitory room is equipped with: a 21-inch TV, a public telephone, an independent bathroom, a small balcony for washing, two fluorescent lamps on the ceiling, two shaking electric fans (no air conditioning), and floor Ceramic tiles and bedroom specifications are the same.

There are two types of beds:

1. There is a desk and computer table next to the bunk bed?

2. What is the independent top bunk? Under the bed is a computer desk, closet, and desk

In terms of electricity consumption in the dormitory:

At the beginning of each semester, each dormitory is provided with 180 kilowatt-hours of electricity. If the amount exceeds that, you will need to purchase electricity at your own expense. Regarding the use of electrical appliances, dormitories must have limited power. The maximum negative pressure is 500 watts. High-power appliances such as hot water rods and hair dryers (including small air conditioners that come with them) cannot be used, otherwise they will easily trip and cause power outages. You can do this when the weather is hot. Consider buying a small fan.

The school does not set a specific time for lights out, because some majors in Sichuan Sound require frequent use of electricity, such as animation, game design and other majors.

Freshmen can bring computers to report, but Internet traffic needs to be purchased at their own expense. Wi-Fi covers all dormitories, but it uses the mobile CMCC-EDU campus network. It requires a fee, 30 yuan per month, with no time limit.

Reasons for similarities and differences in dormitory layouts for different majors:

At the beginning of the century, when Sichuan Sound was building a new campus in Xindu, it only built two dormitories from the main entrance of the cafeteria to the cafeteria. There are 2 bunk beds and a table.

Later, in order to apply for Sichuan University of the Arts, Sichuan University of Fine Arts needed to open an art major, so it moved the Chengdu Academy of Fine Arts from its original location in Shuangliu Muma Mountain to the new capital. The teaching buildings were also relocated, resulting in the original dormitories being occupied. If not, a new dormitory building would be built, so it was built behind the cafeteria. In the newly built dormitory building, there would be 6 people with beds and tables.

In 2006, Sichuan Audio continued to establish the Department of Digital Art in order to build Sichuan University of the Arts. Since it was also an art department, it was placed in the same dormitory building as the Academy of Fine Arts.

In 2012, the junior college department moved from the Chengdu headquarters to the Xindu campus. Just as the enrollment of art students nationwide was shrinking, the junior college department was also placed in the dormitory of the former Academy of Fine Arts.

As a result, the current dormitory structure of the Academy of Fine Arts, Mathematical Arts, and College Departments has beds and desks, while other departments only have two sets of beds and desks.
